Extended Interview with Yu-Ting Wang, Chien-Hsing Chen

Could you please tell us about your experience as a designer, artist, architect or creator?

I was grown in a building construction family and is very familiar with buildings since young. I have being studying in art related school since high school and went to Australia and achieved my BA in Interior Design.

How did you become a designer?

I liked houses and buildings since young, when I took the BA of Interior Design, I feel like its what I need to do, to make space useful with my own aesthetics.

What are your advices to designers who are at the beginning of their career?

A good design has soul, and it needs to combine with the person who use them.

How do you know if a product or project is well designed? How do you define good design?

The secret recipe is to knowing the needs, understanding the concept and execute the thoughts.

What are your philanthropic contributions to society as a designer, artist and architect?

I think design is problem solving, we constantly solves problems, for example solving people's need, solving the aesthetics etc.

What positive experiences you had when you attend the A’ Design Award?

I believe is my work team to helped me to reach these heights, team work is very important.
