Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
I do not view myself as I designer, it is not my profession, I wanted to create something valuable and to leave something for next generations, I am an amateur in designing.
Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
I do not have a design company, I created a small company to design my artwork and to buy necessary equipment for it.
What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
Favorite designs are these who are harmonious and have a purpose.
When do you feel the most creative?
It is hard to say exact time, I feel most creative when my inspiration arrives, it could be at any time of the day.
What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?
I feel satisfied and curious to see how it all works out when the artwork is finished.
From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
Designer must create something valuable of high quality and meaning.
How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?
It depends, there are some designs I truly do not understand, but everyone has rights to express themselves artistically.
When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?
My first and for now last exhibition was in February 2018 – it took place in gallery MUSEUM LV in Riga, Latvia. I plan to make a complete collection and hold my next one as soon as possible.
Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?
My greatest source of inspiration is nature itself and also architecture. I get my inspiration also from travelling.
Can you talk a little about your design process?
First comes the idea, then I have to find a technological way to make it come true, which involves research and many experiments to achieve the best quality.

I suggest to never fear to find new paths and express their creativity as much as possible.
Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.?
I produced a series of specialized adaptations. Everything was made autonomously by self-bought equipment, finding new paths and new technologies. For this purpose I created a laboratory-workroom for all my experiments.
Designing can sometimes be a really time consuming task, how do you manage your time?
I think everyone can find time if they really want it, especially when it comes to art, there are no time limits.
What is the most frequently asked question to you, as a designer?
People most frequently ask me how it is possible to produce such work, its technical side.
