Actually, my original degree is English Literature, after I found out I have great passion towards interior design, I then studied abroad and obtained the BFA degree as Interior Architecture and Design in Academy of Art University in San Francisco, USA.
I founded Studio One in 2017, my company emphasize on the method of form follows function. We believe design is a solution towards better living, so we always try to achieve that kind of principle to applied onto our projects.
A project with simple forms yet arouse people's sensational perceptions towards ordinary objects, a phycological approach to effect people's life. The essential things in our life is sometimes invisible to our eyes.
Usually started form studying their company background, their ideologies and principles towards the brand, through the conversations and discussions, tried to find out their needs and problems they were facing currently and came up with design solution.
I like the material contrast. For example, in the Molding Space retail project, I adopted the rustic concrete columns to make contrast with the fine white cubics, boards and client's sophisticated handmade leather product.
Maybe more like minimalism, usually I intend not to using too much materials, I prefer the space provides a sense of calmness and prove people a way to perceive objects with less distractions.
