Could you please tell us about your experience as a designer, artist, architect or creator?
I have been designing projects and sculpting various mediums from age 14. I completed a BTEC National Diploma In Art and Design in SRC, Northern Ireland before attending NCAD Dublin to study towards a degree in Sculpture. I worked within the creative industry in Ireland from there for 4 years before becoming a self employed artist.
How did you become a designer?
Design is in everything I see, I am energised by great design and my passion each day is to create the very best creative work I can. I fell in love with design at a very young age, drawing and creating what was possible within the confines of my home. From that age I knew where my strengths and desire lay.
What are your priorities, technique and style when designing?
I choose design every day and still do with as much love and desire
Which emotions do you feel when designing?
I design sculptures generally, my work as I have matured verges more toward strong geometric forms and design. I work hard through reserch to choose mediums which truly reflect my design and sculptural techniques best
What particular aspects of your background shaped you as a designer?
Work hard, study design through the ages and find what speaks to you best.
What is your growth path? What are your future plans? What is your dream design project?
passion, it is evident through any great designers work. Good design is acknowledged but great design is never forgotten
What are your advices to designers who are at the beginning of their career?
Great design I feel speaks to you more than any other, the lines, tones, textures, quality, mediums, presentation all combine in true works of great art and design.
