Since young, I've noticed that through imageries is how I absorb information, express, and communicate. I always showed more interest in curriculums that are free-formed and are not confined by rules or answers. I applied for a BFA fashion design major at the prestigious design school, Parsons the School of Design to see how I adapt to a creative environment. After 4 intensive years to learn about myself through the lenses of art and design, I saw how persistent and patient I am with the process of creating a collection. It was unlike my normal self and that is when I realized I truly wanted to be a designer.
Even though my background is in fashion design, I don't like to limit myself to only express myself through the medium of garments/ fabrics. I believe all creative fields are correlated with one another. I often find my inspiration from architecture, pottery, or industrial design pieces. So when I am designing a fashion collection inspired by other art forms, I'd like to think I am not only designing a collection of clothes, but I am also designing structures, objects, lifestyle...etc.
