Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
We have our own jewelry brand HELICAL CHORD in the fashion city of Tokyo, Omotesando. There is also a cafe so that customers can relax and enjoy shopping.
What was the first thing you designed for a company?
Jewelry mainly based on the logo mark of our own brand HELICAL CHORD.
What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
Highly durable material (platinum, gold) so that it can be passed down to future generations
Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
Beautiful design from any angle when worn, jewelry production that does not mislead every detail.
What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized?
Jewelry I designed is in the hands of people, What kind of happiness will it bring? What kind of memories can you make? It makes me happy and happy to think that I can make happy memories for people through jewelry.
When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?
Can you explain why this product was made, rather than just judging by how good it looks?
From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
Instead of changing the jewelry you really like, keep wearing it.
How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?
I think that the number of virtual space designs such as Metaverse and NFT will increase.
Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?
It is based on my own experiences, things I saw, and things I felt beautiful in my life.
How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?
If it's something to wear, I want you to wear it with some feelings and meanings. It becomes a part of the person's body and becomes a talisman.
Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?
"I live in Tokyo, Japan. Japanese cultural heritage does not affect design, Expressions, phrases, and myths unique to Japan are very useful for design. Many Japanese brands have jewelry that resembles famous overseas jewelry brands. Wearing well-known brand jewelry is a status, and you tend to buy jewelry by brand rather than design. It's difficult to get a new brand accepted, but I'm thinking about designing every day so that my brand can open a hole in such a culture. "
What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer?
How convinced are you facing your design? It's easy to quit, so I think it's a demand to determine if you have the power to get it done.

I definitely tried this A design award. I have never participated in such a contest, so It was a challenge to see how my design would be conveyed to people.

I am attracted to the designers who created the era in every field. I respect designers who make things that weren't common sense until now. If my experience is useful to others, I would like to develop new designers and participate in and contribute to events.
What positive experiences you had when you attend the A’ Design Award?
I think that design is evaluated only when people judge it. No matter how much I think it's okay, no one can tell. The value of design is created only when people recognize it. The experience of participating in the contest for the first time and being able to win the award on the front stage for the first time gave me confidence. It will also give you an opportunity to take on new challenges. I want to repeat this and grow as a designer.
