About Hye Kyoung Yoon
A former reporter at Economic Daily News and a former Vice President at Deutsche Bank, she brings a cross-disciplinary perspective shaped by both media and finance. Her work has been recognized with honors including the Red Dot Award and the A’ Design Award (Bronze). Drawn to new challenges, she often steps into unfamiliar territory, approaching each project as something not done before. She describes herself as someone who has rarely felt fully blended in—often observing from a distance, with a sense of being an outsider. Over time, this perspective has become a resource, informing how she sees problems and develops design responses from a different angle. Her process remains exploratory and evolving, grounded in continuous learning. Now based in California, USA, she is in a new phase of practice, embracing change and using it as an opportunity to begin again.
