About Life Exhibition Hall

Life is an exhibition hall interior in Xi'an, China, covering 1000 square meters. The design blends modern methods with Chinese and Asian traditions. References to shadow puppet art, green tea culture and ancient architecture are embedded in the space. Colors are drawn from natural sources, including the scenery of the Qinling Mountains, Lantian jade and the Weihe River. Metal, wood and stone are combined in the reception area. Glass and other transparent materials let sunlight pass through the rooms. The negotiation area is arranged symmetrically.

Production Technology
Looking for a quiet and secluded space in the oriental charm, the prologue is opened, changing and jumping with the scene, and the metal, wood and stone in the front desk area are cleverly combined to draw a crystal clear artistic conception. The sunlight flows freely in the room. Transparent materials such as glass interact with the light beautifully. The table top is light and shade crisscross like the reflection of water ripples.
Design Challenge
In the design process, the traditional form of culture is too old-fashioned. Designers need to apply new elements in the traditional culture in advance, and carry out overall creative planning in combination with space design methods, new materials, overall space structure, etc. When using traditional elements again, they should not discard the cultural charm and bring wrong understanding to teenagers. These are all important key points that designers need to grasp according to experience.
