About Front Bracelet
Front is a bracelet collection designed to be understood when viewed from the front. Each bracelet forms a complete circle, and the lines that create the decoration intersect with the outer circle. The decoration is placed inside the band rather than on the outer surface, so the sizing differs from usual standards. Each piece is symmetrical on the vertical axis and asymmetrical on the horizontal axis. The bracelets are produced by three-dimensional design and printing of a wax mold, followed by casting in silver. The result is light and durable for daily use.

Your innovative approach to the Front Bracelet, drawing inspiration from Sohrab Sepehri's poem "The footsteps of water," is fascinating - could you elaborate on how this Persian poetry influenced your design philosophy and aesthetic choices?
My approach to jewelry is to completely ignore what it's supposed to be and treat it as limitless sculpture. Function comes second. With most jewelry, you can easily trace the designer's predictable steps, but I refuse to be limited by that.For the Front Bracelet, I challenged the common structure. Bracelets are almost always designed from top view, starting with a rigid circle. I flipped that and designed from the front view, starting with dynamic, intersecting lines. The circle doesn't define the design; it’s simply there to hold the lines together.This ties directly to Sohrab Sepehri’s 'The Footsteps of Water.' His philosophy of 'washing our eyes to see things differently' drove my shift in perspective. The crossing lines mimic the free, unpredictable flow of water, while the circle acts merely as the quiet riverbank holding the art in place.
The Front Bracelet challenges traditional jewelry conventions with its internal and interlacing decorations - what inspired you to break away from conventional surface ornamentation, and how does this reflect your vision of seeing things "otherwise"?
When jewelry is treated merely as a commercial product, decoration stays flat on the surface—it becomes a superficial skin. Because I view jewelry as a pure, three-dimensional sculpture, I don't recognize a strict 'inside' or 'outside.' I see a total volume.Breaking away from surface ornamentation was a natural consequence of my decision to design the bracelet from the front view rather than the traditional top-down view. By focusing on how lines intersect and weave through space, the decoration inherently became internal and interlaced. It forces the viewer's eye to look through the piece rather than just at it.
Your Silver A' Design Award-winning Front Bracelet features a unique symmetrical vertical axis yet asymmetrical horizontal axis - could you share the conceptual thinking behind this distinctive geometric approach?
Water never flows the same way twice; it is constantly changing shape as it moves forward.By keeping the horizontal axis completely asymmetrical, the piece transforms entirely depending on how you look at it. If you view it from the top, the bottom, or the side, the geometry changes. I wanted to ensure the sculpture remains dynamic and alive, never settling into a single, predictable form.

- In the FRONT bracelets collection, as the name implies, to comprehend the design of the work, it has to be observed face front. The general state of the work is in the form of a complete circle, and the lines that form the decoration of the bracelet intersect with the outer circle.

- The most challenging and frustrating part in designing the bracelets, In contrast to other fine jewelry that has their decorations on the outer surface, this collection has internal and interlacing decoration which causes this obstacle makes it harder to scale the final product fit on the wrist.
The next problem was due to the 3D cast making. As for having several 3D printing methods the most important factor for choosing wax modeling was accuracy which in other cases cause the internal lines to overlap.
In addition to 3D prints and casting operation was which materials to use as filaments, for instance, plastic-based filaments (ABS/PLA) wouldn’t make it through the heat casting process and would stick to the product causing impurity in the final product. But SLA wax modeling technique won't cause problems as the wax would evaporate in the contact of extreme of kiln leaving the hot cast empty of any other materials resulting in a pure product. - Research
- Sohrab Sepehri had a major idol role in designers' life, so they felt a need to pay back in their own ways. As for their adoration towards all his life works, they felt an existential love for "the footsteps of water", they set their minds to build a relationship with the blank verse and their works. In order to establish a balance between the work and the blank verse, designers animated Sohrab's lifestyle of simplicity, modesty, and receptivity.
- Inspiration
- The FRONT collection is inspired by a poem of a great Persian poet, Sohrab Sepehri, acknowledged worldwide for his paintings, in Iran he was known for his blank verses. His poem, named "The footsteps of water", points out the necessity of changing the point of view toward all phenomena: "Wash up the eye, See the otherwise"; this verse is the foundation of this design. The designer, inspired by the blank verse, strongly believes that point of view is much more essential than perception itself.

- The idea of the project stroke the mind of the designers in Nov 2019 and by Dec 2020, the production steps were completed in Tehran, Iran.
