About Steady Power Wire Art Exhibition
Steady Power Wire Art is an art installation created for a company anniversary exhibition. The installation uses copper wires supplied by an electric wire and cable manufacturer to outline a large tree that symbolizes the company. Five scenes of daily life extend from the tree: a porridge stall, a dining table, a train, a temple, and a beacon. Changing lighting and audio narration accompany the wire forms, while shadows of the wires fall on the walls and the ceiling. The work covers 281 square meters and shows how electricity supports ordinary daily life.

- Production Technology
- When we were commissioned by the TAYA Group for a branding exhibition, we thought of the ordinary and hidden but ubiquitous and essential qualities of wires and electricity provided by the TAYA Group, and have decided to represent the group with the equally ubiquitous, essential, and strong tree that supports the daily life of people. The material used are actual copper wires provided TAYA Electric Wire & Cable.
- Project Duration
- The exhibition started at 2020.08.08 and ended at 2020.08.16, it was held at Huashan 1914 Creative Park.
- Operation Flow
- The wire arts were paired with the change of lighting and audio narration, turning the installation into an interactive and immersive experience; the alternating shadow of the wires on the walls and the ceiling gives the installation a richer visual, and the audio gives the audiences a more well-rounded understanding of the TAYA Group as a brand.
- Research
- The exhibition is not only for the general public to understand TAYA as a brand, it is also made to showcase the brand to its possible clients. Therefore, the design is focused on expressing the history, the convenience, the importance, and the relationship between the audiences and electricity.
- Inspiration
- When “uncertainty” is the only certain thing on this land,
TAYA Electrics supported our everyday life like strong tree roots, sending steady powers and electricity to all corners of the country.
No matter sunny or rain, it was always there to connect everyone's life.
The TAYA Group 65th anniversary linear exhibition Steady Power tells a narrative of “stable everyday life”, telling stories with the usually hidden wires that transfers the power and electricity. - Image Credits
