About Kama-Asa Shop Kitchen Utensils

Kama-Asa Shop is a retail interior design for a store selling kitchen utensils in Tokyo. The shop is based on the belief that good tools are made for a good reason, so the space presents the skills of the craftsmen who make the tools on display. To reflect that idea, the interior shows the skills of building craftsmen. Rebar, a ribbed steel bar normally hidden inside walls, becomes the main design element. Handrails and furniture are made of rebar. The forms are simple, yet the work still requires careful craftsmanship.
