About Kemercountry Residential

Kemercountry is a residential interior design for a three-floor house in Kemerburgaz with 500 square meters of living space. The house was redesigned to suit the needs of the family. The ground floor opens to the garden and holds a living room, a large kitchen and a guest bathroom. The second floor contains a hall, a study room and the master bedroom with dressing and bathing areas. The third floor is arranged for a child, with areas for sleep, work, rest and play. Marble, oak, walnut and leather create natural textures, while glass separators and reflective surfaces spread daylight.

Drawing from the rich tradition of contemporary residential design that synthesizes warmth with architectural rigor, this interior composition demonstrates a masterful negotiation between material contrast and chromatic cohesion. The designer appears to engage with what might be termed a new materialism in interior practice, where surfaces become protagonists rather than mere backdrops, the nero marquina-style marble commanding attention through its geological drama while simultaneously grounding the space in timeless elegance. The selection of molten copper pendant fixtures introduces an almost alchemical quality, their biomorphic forms suggesting both technological innovation and organic naturalism, perhaps evoking the liquid metal experiments of contemporary lighting designers working within the tradition of sculptural illumination. Technical accomplishment manifests in the careful calibration of tonal relationships, where the deep charcoal of the stone finds sympathetic resonance in the gray millwork while the cognac leather provides essential chromatic warmth without disrupting the overall restraint. The transparent glass shelving system serves multiple functions simultaneously, acting as spatial divider, display mechanism, and light conductor, its material honesty allowing visual continuity while establishing distinct zones within the open plan. One observes particular sensitivity in the textural orchestration, from the polished stone to the matte leather to the nubby textile of the ottoman, each surface offering distinct tactile invitation while contributing to a unified sensory experience. The herringbone flooring establishes historical resonance, suggesting European craft traditions while its medium tone mediates between the darker and lighter elements above. Viewers might contemplate how this space balances the desire for visual drama with the imperative of domestic comfort, achieving a synthesis that feels simultaneously curated and inhabitable.
