Nizo Z is a vlogging camera kit designed for content creators. The kit includes an editing base, a fill light, a microphone and a camera body. The parts connect magnetically, which allows simple charging and data transfer. The all black aluminum body balances durability, weight and heat dissipation. Built in stabilization and AI face tracking support handheld filming and live streaming. The handheld form is shaped for a steady grip. The minimalist design allows quick assembly and quick pack down.

Project Duration: A student project at Art Center College Of Design from September to December 2023
Operation Flow: Its pieces magnetically snap together, allowing for quick setup and pack-down. The handheld design ensures smooth filming with built-in stabilization, while the AI tracks faces flawlessly during live streams. Lights and microphones are instantly ready for action, enhancing the visual and audio quality of any content. This user-friendly system simplifies the vlogging process, making high-quality production accessible to all.
Research: Research aimed at improving vlogging for beginners identified key challenges in portability, stabilization, and audio-visual quality through market research, interviews, and observations with vloggers and video production beignners.
Inspiration: The Nizo Z camera combo draws inspiration from the principles of functional and retro design. Paying homage to the blend of simplicity and modern technology. With minimalist aesthetics, intuitive assembly, and magnetic components, the design prioritizes ease of use while incorporating advanced technological features.
