Optical character recognition and artificial intelligence read the submitted documents, extract key information and create short summaries. Real time guidance helps users complete each step. Tawuniya is built with a cross-platform framework and runs on both iOS and Android devices. Dual language support allows left to right and right to left reading.

What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
Our design is rooted in Tawuniya’s commitment to “We Provide Confidence.” We aimed to transform insurance from a transactional process into a seamless, empowering experience. Inspired by the need for clarity and trust, the app ensures users feel secure and supported at every interaction.
What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
Our focus was on creating an intuitive, user-centric platform that simplifies complex insurance processes. We strived to deliver a design that offers clarity, ease of use, and immediate access to essential services, reinforcing our promise of confidence and reliability.
What are your future plans for this award winning design?
We plan to expand the app’s capabilities by integrating more personalized services, leveraging AI for predictive assistance, and enhancing accessibility features. Our goal is to continuously evolve the app to meet users’ changing needs while maintaining the trust and confidence they place in us.

- The project faced challenges in balancing innovative design with regulatory compliance and addressing diverse user needs. Cultural and social norms in Saudi Arabia necessitated inclusive yet locally aligned designs. Adapting to rapidly evolving technologies and ensuring accessibility for all demographics were additional obstacles. Limited real-time user data initially delayed insights. Through cross-functional collaboration and adaptive tools, these challenges were successfully navigated, resulting in a compliant and user-focused solution.

- The research adopted a user centered approach to enhance digital experiences on Tawuniya.com. It aimed to identify usability challenges, improve accessibility, and optimize engagement. Using a mixed-methods methodology, surveys, interviews, and usability tests were conducted alongside analytics tools. Participants included diverse user segments, such as customers, agents, and corporate partners. Insights revealed navigation and content clarity issues, leading to actionable redesign strategies.
- Inspiration
- The inspiration for this project stemmed from a vision to make insurance more accessible, efficient, and user centric. Observing the evolving needs of Saudi consumers, the idea was to integrate cutting-edge AI and UX design to bridge gaps in the industry. By prioritizing health, safety, and convenience, the aim was to create a platform that not only meets but exceeds user expectations, empowering individuals and families with tailored solutions.

- The project commenced in January 2023 in Saudi Arabia and is scheduled for completion in December 2023.
- Operation Flow
- Tawuniya Super App operates through a simple and user friendly flow, starting with the landing page where users can easily navigate through various insurance services, such as motor, health, and property insurance. After selecting their preferred service, users are guided to complete their transactions smoothly. Key steps include registering or logging in, exploring available options, and purchasing or managing policies. Real time AI assistance ensures quick resolutions, with seamless integrations allow users to buy a car within the app.
