About Colgate Turkiye Office
Colgate Turkiye is an office interior design located in Istanbul, Turkey, covering 950 square meters on the twenty-first floor of a building with an elliptical form and a full glass facade. Open work areas, meeting rooms, social zones and relaxation corners are combined within a single space. Corporate colors, natural materials and living plants create a warm and energetic atmosphere. Rest areas and several meeting rooms face the south facade to benefit from the sea view and daylight. The flexible layout supports collaboration, productivity and rest.
Workplace design has evolved considerably beyond strictly functional considerations toward environments that acknowledge the full spectrum of human needs including social connection, psychological comfort, and the expression of organizational culture through spatial and material language, and this interior environment positions itself within that progressive trajectory by creating a distinct collaborative destination within the larger office landscape that invites informal gathering, spontaneous conversation, and the kind of lateral thinking that emerges when colleagues step away from individual task focus into shared social space. The architectural canopy device demonstrates compositional intelligence by establishing spatial definition without physical enclosure, creating a sense of place and threshold while maintaining the visual and acoustic openness that characterizes contemporary collaborative work culture, and the choice of saturated navy blue for this defining element provides sufficient chromatic weight to anchor attention and organize surrounding elements while avoiding the severity of black or the clinical neutrality of grey, suggesting instead a more approachable and optimistic workplace character. The careful calibration of furniture scale, proportion, and arrangement reveals sensitivity to diverse working preferences and body types, with multiple seating postures supported from upright perching to relaxed lounging, and the tripartite coffee table composition introduces both functional surface area and sculptural visual interest through its interlocking organic forms and strategic color deployment that enlivens the neutral foundation without overwhelming the composition. Particularly noteworthy is the integration of the illuminated circular artwork that transforms what might otherwise function as mere decorative accent into a substantive statement of organizational values, the abstracted human figures suggesting diversity, inclusion, and collective achievement themes that contemporary organizations increasingly prioritize as cultural touchstones, while the internal illumination ensures the piece reads clearly as focal point regardless of ambient lighting conditions and creates a gentle glow that contributes warmth to the overall lighting environment. The material palette demonstrates restraint and sophistication through its reliance on a neutral foundation of warm taupe, cool grey, and crisp white that provides visual calm and professional gravitas while strategic injections of saturated navy, teal, and terracotta prevent monotony and guide wayfinding through color-coding of functional zones, and the selection of terrazzo flooring in the foreground suggests both durability appropriate to high-traffic circulation areas and a contemporary materiality that references mid-century modernist traditions while feeling fresh through its lighter neutral tonality and refined aggregate scale. The integration of abundant natural daylight represents a significant wellness gesture in corporate environments where access to exterior views and circadian-supporting illumination often correlates with employee satisfaction and productivity metrics, and the use of translucent window treatments demonstrates awareness of the need to modulate direct sun penetration while maintaining luminous quality and visual connection to the world beyond the office envelope. How might this environment invite you to shift from individual focus work into collaborative engagement, and what aspects of the spatial character, material selection, or visual storytelling suggest the kind of organizational culture being cultivated within this workplace?

- The project is an office space designed to meet the needs of employees in a single space. Open work areas, social zones, meeting rooms and relaxation corners are located together, and a warm and energetic atmosphere is provided with corporate colors, natural materials and plants. The space has a flexible, functional and aesthetic arrangement for collaboration, productivity and relaxation.
- Design Challenge
- The mechanical infrastructure envisaged within the building was compatible with the direction of light and sun in a glass-fronted structure, providing a significant advantage in the fight against mechanical systems. In particular, there was a greater cooling requirement in areas with intense sunlight, while the cooling requirement was lower on the north side, which did not receive sunlight. These different needs created an effective approach to balancing the internal distribution of the mechanical system. This experience provided important experience in solving mechanical problems in high-rise buildings with glass facades.

Istanbul, Turkey - Operation Flow
- The project aimed to reflect the brand's values of freshness, trust and health into the space. A warm, energetic and functional atmosphere was created with the color palette, natural textures and light play; Flexible spaces are designed to meet both social and individual needs. With this approach, the office has been shaped not only as a working space but also as a space of experience.
- Research
- The project has an elliptical form and a completely glass facade. A design approach was adopted that aims to benefit from daylight in the most efficient way while also reducing the negative effects of the sun. Extraordinary sea views met with social areas and some meeting rooms. The team's rest areas were placed on the south facade of the building, taking advantage of this view and allowing multi-purpose work at the same time. This arrangement was planned after our detailed exploration.
Located on the 21st floor, the office not only connects with green areas remotely, but also integrates with the work areas and integrates natural texture and living plants with a biophilic design. While this approach created peace and tranquility in the office, it also shaped the design language in a positive way. - Inspiration
