About Azura Frame Corporate Office Interior

Full of daylight from three glass facades, the workplace unfolds as a calm yet compelling sequence. U shaped plan concentrates services and storage at the core, freeing the perimeter for light, views and flow. Along the corridor, a continuous soft blue cabinetry ribbon guides movement and hides utility; curved glass and Magic Glass shift spaces from open to private in seconds. Warm woods, subtle dark accents, greenery and semi transparent partitions soften edges while preserving continuity, yielding a quiet, contemporary elegance.

Esra Basmaz's Azura Frame Corporate Office Interior demonstrates a sophisticated engagement with contemporary workplace design philosophy, positioning this environment within a broader cultural shift toward humanizing professional spaces through the integration of residential comfort vocabulary and biophilic design principles alongside rigorous architectural geometry and material refinement. The work reflects evolving understandings of productive work environments that honor both the functional requirements of professional activity and the psychological needs of human occupants, suggesting an institutional commitment to employee wellbeing that extends beyond mere programmatic accommodation to embrace holistic environmental quality. The compositional achievement of this interior centers upon the dramatic overhead architectural canopy, a perforated metal structure rendered in deep charcoal that creates a powerful geometric presence establishing visual hierarchy and spatial definition while simultaneously serving acoustic and environmental control functions, its rhythmic perforation pattern introducing textural richness and controlled translucency that prevents the massive horizontal plane from becoming oppressive or visually dead. This structural element establishes a strong axial organization directing attention toward the kitchen zone, which serves as both functional heart of the communal space and aesthetic focal point, its material palette of cool slate surfaces contrasting purposefully with the warm amber wood shelving that flanks it symmetrically, creating chromatic tension that enlivens the composition and prevents monotony. The shelving systems themselves demonstrate thoughtful design integration, their open format displaying colorful domestic objects including ceramics, glassware, and decorative items that introduce human scale, tactile variety, and chromatic vivacity into the otherwise restrained architectural envelope, transforming functional storage into visual narrative and personalizing the corporate environment. The kitchen island, substantial in proportion and industrial in material character, appears finished in a dark composite suggesting concrete or engineered stone, its mass anchoring the space while its horizontal extension invites social gathering and informal collaboration, the three upholstered bar stools positioned along its length reinforcing this communal invitation through their approachable contemporary form and warm neutral upholstery. Particularly noteworthy passages include the sophisticated lighting orchestration layering recessed architectural fixtures within the perforated ceiling plane with adjustable track lighting and abundant natural daylight penetrating from the right, creating luminous complexity and temporal variation as daylight shifts throughout working hours. The foreground seating arrangement introduces additional layers of domestic comfort through organic curved occasional chairs upholstered in terracotta and rust tones, their informal sculptural forms and warm palette providing visual and experiential counterpoint to the architectural severity of the background kitchen zone, while the textured circular coffee table between them introduces another scale and material note. The integration of potted plants throughout the space demonstrates biophilic design sensitivity, introducing organic forms and verdant color that soften geometric rigor and connect interior experience to natural processes and rhythms, potentially contributing to occupant wellbeing through psychological restoration and environmental air quality enhancement. The material palette throughout reveals sophisticated orchestration balancing cool industrial vocabulary including perforated metal, dark composite surfaces, and crisp white architectural planes against warm natural counterpoints including amber wood tones and terracotta textile accents, this thermal and tactile contrast creating dynamic visual interest while maintaining overall compositional coherence. What questions might this carefully balanced environment raise about the evolving nature of professional spaces, the increasingly blurred boundaries between work and domestic life, and the role of thoughtful design in supporting human flourishing within institutional contexts?

Unique Properties
Within Natura Yapi’s Istanbul headquarters, the design fuses facade-inspired elements with refined interior craft. Curved glass partitions, mesh-metal profiles, vertical wooden slats and sculptural seating benches echo facade skeletons, while decorative dividers and line-patterned accessories add rhythmic depth. Warm wood flooring and furniture counterpoint the cool corporate blue, while strategic dark zones and natural plants add vitality, turning technical rigor into an inviting, timeless workspace.
Dimensions & Packaging
The office covers 350 m2 net area, including a 33 m2 executive office, 148 m2 open and enclosed work zones, and 45 m2 guest lounge for meetings with meeting rooms and a mini terrace. Glass partitions define work areas, while the executive office and wet zones use full gypsum-board walls for acoustic and privacy needs. Separate male/female restrooms and a hidden server room are integrated. Light-blue wall claddings double as concealed storage.

Production Technology
All solid doors, except glass partitions, were built with a flush (frameless) door system, creating uninterrupted wall continuity and modern elegance. This solution required meticulous substructure craftsmanship and hidden framing, making its precise technical setup a key highlight of the project. By preserving pure lines while ensuring durability and acoustic performance, it reinforces the facade-inspired architectural clarity. One executive office features Magic Glass technology, allowing its glass partition to switch from clear to frosted for instant privacy.
Design Challenge
The main challenge was to create a cohesive interior within a volume where three facades are fully glazed and solid walls are scarce. The plan concentrates wet areas, technical room, hidden storage and corridors around the core, while cafe bar, lounge, mini terrace and meeting rooms line the facade to capture daylight and natural airflow. Open and semi-transparent partitions define spaces, and precise detailing ensures a strong unity between the social perimeter and the calm work core.
Project Duration
The project started in February 2023 and finished in August 2023 in Istanbul Turkiye
Operation Flow
Well-planned functional zones, calm hues and balanced contrasts shape a warm, sophisticated atmosphere that fosters focus. In a Ushaped plan, soft-blue cabinetry lines the corridor as hidden storage and a guiding ribbon, while a slim mesh ceiling defines direction. At the center, a lounge with cafe bar seating and a mini terrace forms a social core distinct from work areas, as curved glass and greenery soften spatial transitions.
Research
This project is grounded in qualitative design research aimed at creating a functional yet inspiring corporate interior. Objectives included maximizing natural light, fostering intuitive circulation, and balancing concentrated, minimal workspaces with diverse and welcoming guest areas. Site analysis, material studies and staff interviews informed a U-shaped plan where calm work zones contrast with a cafe-bar, mini terrace, comfortable lounge and meeting rooms, supporting efficient external meetings and a distinctive brand experience.
Inspiration
Inspired by Natura Yapı’s mastery in contemporary facades and the quiet strength of its corporate blue, the design seeks to turn the dialogue between structure and nature into an interior language. The idea of inside echoing outside shaped the concept: mesh-metal profiles and delicate vertical lines recall the skeleton of modern facades, while soft fabrics, sculptural art curves, and living greenery temper their precision. The result is more than an office; a spatial narrative where material, light and color embody innovation, sustainability and serene elegance.
