Our brief was to create a retail environment drawing inspiration from the client’s love of simple elegant gallery style spaces. The client had an affiliation with minimalist Japan and we set out to create a space that reflected that in form. We examined the best approach to marrying that dichotomy by creating a cohesive and uniformed space. The sculptural centrepiece clothing rack is the main design feature of the new store. It is conceptually modeled from the ‘golden ratio’ in plan and then elevated in into a three-dimensional form and its shape guides the customer’s journey and experience
