About The Grandeur of Sky Oasis Wys Huis

Unique Properties
Designer incorporated the visual art concept by building a frame-like partition to bring in luxurious and elegance in a tastefully understated way. As such, a thoughtfully curated visual interest is created-the art painting becomes a decorative piece for both the foyer and the dining when one steps inside the residence. Bronze trimmings can be found from the partition to wall panels and the ceiling, achieving the purpose of creating connection. Further fulfill the foremost aim of dividing functional areas while maintaining transparency of space.

Production Technology
Timeless earth-toned palette provides the ideal setting for a family home or weekend retreat. Linear elements are used to achieve the feeling of connectedness. A frame-like screen placed at the foyer, joint with the bronze trimming of the ceiling, and further connected with the bespoke cabinet via the bold outline. Foyer and the dining thereby clearly separated while ensuring a serene atmosphere. Trimmings can also be found in different areas to echo overall interiors.
Design Challenge
As a show-flat project, designer task was to strike a balance between aesthetic and functionality. We have to make sure that the layout composition is livable for household, either in spatial planning or storage.
The biggest challenge is the distance between foyer and Dining area. Client needs a foyer to dived main entrance and dining area but need to create a spatial perception. Designer incorporated the visual art concept by building a frame-like partition to bring in luxurious and elegance in a tastefully understated way.

Inspiration
Taking inspiration from ribbon dance, trimmings can be seen throughout the living space. Bronze steel trimming wraps around the ceiling and wall panels, serving as an outline highlighting the abode. By incorporating visual art concept when designing the screen partition, a penetration effect is created the art painting becomes a decorative element for both the entrance way and dining area.
Project Duration
The project started in May 2018 and finished in May 2019 in the south of Cotai Strip, Macau. This is a show home of Sky Oasis The Grandeur (Sky Oasis Gestão de Propriedade Limitada)
Operation Flow
Designer proposal for this show-flat draws inspiration from ribbon dance. Subtle bronze detailing wraps around the ceiling, and connects with the bespoke cabinet and the floor-to-ceiling screen. Entering the abode, guests are greeted by a carefully arranged visual art installation. A frame-like partition is placed between the main entrance and the dining; thus, has created an illusion that the art painting (dining area) and the screen partition (foyer) are one single unit. In reality, both of them are two separated elements which complement each other.
