About Raw Koffiebekerreeks
Boekteks: Raw is 'n porseleinkoffiebekerreeks wat 'n espressobeker, 'n americano-beker, 'n latte-beker, 'n teekoppie en 'n druppelaar insluit. Elke stuk is gemaak van ligte porselein en dra gekerfde oppervlaktes wat geïnspireer is deur skulp- en kwalvormige vorms. Die kerfwerk verminder die gewig van elke stuk en maak die handvatsels meer ergonomies. Die druppelaar hou tot 24 gram koffie en brou vir twee mense. Die gekerfde buite-oppervlak verhoed ook dat die druppelaar gly of rol wanneer dit op sy sy geplaas word. Die reeks is ontwerp om die oorgietkoffieritueel te ondersteun.

- Design Challenge
- The challenge in this project was arranging the size of dripper. We analyzed the datas about Pour-Over Coffee brewing ritual and came up with the perfect dimensions. It has a chamber for brewing coffee for maximum 2 people. It can hold up to 24 grams of coffee in total. It is also a very light product with the savings in porcelain material. At the same time, drippers have a rolling problem when placed sideways on the table. We wanted to resolve this issue. Thanks to its carved outer surface, we prevented sliding and rolling movements.
- Research
- By observing the ritual of brewing coffee, we adjusted the measures that can take a measure of coffee into the drippers' chamber. We also revised our project by taking the opinions of baristas and coffee lovers. In conclusion, we designed lighter forms and came up with shell and jellyfish looking carvings on the outside of the surfaces. Which represents our passion in coffee.
- Inspiration
- Raw collections form inspiration comes from random pattern sketches with a pretty dreamy and passionate sense. The collection has points that inspired from natural forms and sea animal patterns. We wanted to create an organic and dynamic form to adapt it to the coffee brewing ritual.
