About Hobot Sp10 iScraper Vensterskoonmaakrobot

Hobot Sp10 iScraper is 'n vensterskoonmaakrobot vir huishoudelike glasoppervlaktes.

Unique Properties
This window cleaning robot features the sss "Spray-Sweep-Scrape" sequence: dual ultra-wide nozzles spray wind-resistant mist to loosen dirt (Spray), microfiber pad scrubs contaminants uniformly (Sweep), and dual auto-lifting blades use the trailing one for streak-free water removal (Scrape). Edge-Leakage sensors detect sub-5mm gaps on window frames for enhanced safety. This system transforms robotic window cleaning from a wiping device into a true professional-grade glass finishing system.

Production Technology
Precision-molded Abs composite housing ensures high durability and low weight. A brushless DC motor generates 6000 Pa of static suction, while Hnbr caterpillar belts maintain traction on glass inclined from 7 to 100 degree. The 3.5 mm high-tension silicone scraper blades are modular and replaceable for long-term maintenance. A dedicated micro-pump delivers a pressurized mist, and the Edge-Leakage system utilizes five sensors with adaptive algorithms. Validated via more than 1000 cycles.
Design Challenge
Challenge: Translating professional manual skill into mechanical intelligence. Internal Factors: Leveraging robotic expertise to meet high-end finishing demands. External Factors: Diverse window frame geometries, wind-stable mist control, and scraper material durability. Overcome: Achieving precise dual auto-lifting blade sequencing within a compact frame. Validated via more than 1000 cycles, this transition from "wiping" to "glass engineering" sets a new benchmark for robotic glass finishing systems.
Research
Applied product design. Aim: Replicating professional streak-free manual cleaning. Methodology: Iterative prototyping and material analysis. Tools: High-speed imaging and mechanical force testing. Experiments: 1000 cycles testing blade flexibility and pressure. Results: Patented Spray-Sweep-Scrape system. Insights: Scraper material Shore hardness and switching logic are vital for water removal. Impact: Redefines performance expectations in domestic robotic glass cleaning.
Inspiration
Inspired by the 3-step technique used by professional window cleaners: pre-wetting, scrubbing, and scraping for streak-free results, the goal was to automate this expertise into a robot, overcoming limitations in existing models—such as persistent streaks and risks on frameless or narrow frames. Extensive research into cleaning physics, fluid dynamics for wind-resistant mist, and sensor-based edge detection, validated through real tests, led to the patented sss system and Edge-Leakage sensors.
Project Duration
Development began in December 2024 in Hsinchu, Taiwan. The Hobot-Sp10 made its global debut at Ces 2026 in Las Vegas, marking its first international unveiling. Designed to redefine robotic glass finishing, it integrates the patented Spray–Sweep–Scrape system with advanced edge detection. Initial commercial shipments commenced in January 2026, following its worldwide introduction.
Operation Flow
Operation begins by securing the safety rope and placing the robot on the glass, where it attaches via dynamic suction. Through a remote or app, users trigger the "Spray-Sweep-Scrape" sequence: a micro-mist softens grime, a microfiber pad scrubs, and dual auto-lifting blades mechanically alternate to squeegee water away. This synchronized sequence ensures an immediate streak-free finish. Integrated sensors detect edges in real-time, allowing for safe, autonomous, edge-to-edge navigation.
