About White Sequence Residensiële Binneontwerp

Unique Properties
The design emphasizes curvature, with rounded edges on the TV wall and transitional points softening rigid angles. Indirect lighting follows the curves, turning white into textured illumination, crisp and translucent by day, warm and serene by night. Storage is consolidated into L-shaped cabinetry along corridors, preserving openness. The dining and kitchen were opened, with a round table guiding natural circulation and serving as a stable visual anchor.
Dimensions & Packaging
The 99.1 m2 residence, originally a 3 plus 1 layout, was redesigned to open the kitchen and living-dining areas. The open plan enhances cooking visibility and social interaction. The master bedroom incorporates adjacent surplus space to form a full dressing area, improving private functionality. Corridor walls are recessed and integrated with cabinetry, eliminating narrowness and guiding daylight deeper, creating a cohesive spatial axis throughout the home.

Production Technology
White is transformed into a multisensory experience. The TV wall and entry backdrop feature Italian mineral coating, whose microporous texture reveals delicate gradations under light. Cabinetry blends white oak grain with matte anti-fingerprint panels, balancing purity with tactile warmth and durability. Muted pink and soft beige furnishings provide subtle accents, adding layered rhythm to the calm, cohesive palette.
Design Challenge
The primary challenge lay in achieving precision under minimalist form. To maintain façade clarity, every cabinet joint, handle dimension, and finishing detail required millimeter-level accuracy to avoid visual discontinuity. The integration of curved ceilings and continuous lighting demanded close coordination across trades. Curvature consistency and seamless illumination were essential to achieve the smooth, flawless quality of light across continuous surfaces.
Research
The 33.1 m2 residence treats 'white' as a layered medium, replacing decoration with a 'vessel of light.' Curved elements and rounded corners dissolve rigid boundaries, guiding light like water. The open kitchen-dining area and L-shaped integrated storage reduce fragmentation. Italian mineral coating and white oak grain balance coolness and warmth, creating a mist-like translucence by day and a gentle glow at night, making architecture a soft container for emotion and time.
Inspiration
Located in a high-rise with ample daylight, the 99.1 m2 residence emphasizes purity over style. Centered on 'layers of white,' the design favors spatial fluidity and visual continuity rather than decoration. Curved lines and integrated functionality transform daily circulation into a continuous visual sequence, allowing residents to experience the narrative quality of the space with each movement and turn.
Project Duration
The project finished in August 2025 in Taiwan.
Operation Flow
After moving in, the homeowner most deeply appreciated the intuitive rhythm of movement. Highly integrated storage allows daily belongings to return naturally to their place without disrupting visual clarity. Predefined lighting scenes and furniture placement give the home a composed, photographic quality at any moment. Particularly when looking from the kitchen toward the social area, the open sightline transforms meal preparation into a shared experience, embodying the principle that design serves life.
