The two-sided construction offers dual styling options in a single product, allowing users to intuitively sculpt, restyle, and secure the form in seconds, transforming traditional headwear into a functional, modular, and sculptural fashion object.

Дызайнерскі выклік: The primary challenge was reinterpreting culturally rooted headwear into a contemporary, functional design without losing its symbolic value. Internally, the project addressed social inclusivity and dignity in relation to hair loss. Externally, challenges included developing a safe, durable shaping mechanism within textile constraints, sourcing sustainable materials, and ensuring compliance with production and safety standards while maintaining aesthetic integrity.

Натхненне: Headbone was inspired by the sculptural elegance and cultural strength of African women colorful headwear traditions, combined with a functional intent to support women experiencing hair loss due to health conditions. The design emerged from research into form retaining textiles and inclusive fashion, aiming to offer a chic, dignified, and empowering alternative that unites aesthetics, comfort, and accessibility.
Працягласць праекта: The project started in April 2020 in Istanbul and was completed in July 2020. Headbone was first launched to the public through the brands official website in August 2020.

The wearer positions the textile over the head and gently bends the internal structure to sculpt see, secure, and adjust the desired form.
