About The Dew Tetera

Book Text: The Dew és una tetera feta de vidre i acer inoxidable. El mètode d'infusió està inspirat en la cafetera tradicional italiana. Les fulles de té es col·loquen a la cambra superior. Quan es gira The Dew cap per avall, la pressió de l'aire desplaça el líquid de la part superior a la part inferior. Les fulles de té es queden a la part superior, de manera que la part inferior esdevé el recipient de servei. La forma està inspirada en la formació d'una gota de rosada, que creix lentament a mesura que s'hi acumula la humitat, de manera semblant a la infusió gradual del té.

Unique Properties: Green represents not only the tea culture, but is healthierthan its competitor coffee, or even black tea, its own kind. Therefore, that is why I created The Dew teapot, the function of the teapot is inspired by Italian traditional coffee maker. By playing with the air pressure upside down, the liquid of tea at the upper part return to the lower part and leaves the tea leaves at the upper part, the lower part become the teapot and the user could enjoy the tea.

Inspiration: The inspiration of the teapot was taken from hundreds of drawings of the formation of the dewdrop. The formation of the dewdrop is a process of accumulation, wherein it will absorb moisture and grows gradually. Just like the tea making process of teapot The Dew. It also gives me inspiration about the aesthetics of the teapot's shape.
