About Trex Disseny de cartell

Trex és un cartell dissenyat per presentar un nou motor respectuós amb el medi ambient desenvolupat per una empresa de turbomaquinària. El cartell fa 700 per 1000 mil·límetres i es produeix mitjançant impressió digital. El contingut visual explica com el motor millora l'eficiència de la combustió i redueix la pèrdua interna d'energia. Un sistema de coixinet d'aire augmenta la potència del compressor en un 30 per cent i afavoreix un funcionament de baixes emissions. Peces com la carcassa i els conductes d'aire tenen la forma de corbes i superfícies B-Spline per millorar l'eficiència del flux d'aire. Les matemàtiques i l'anàlisi de la dinàmica de fluids donen suport al disseny visual.

Design Challenge: The challenges of this design are (a)the way of combination between science and art; (b)research about various properties of B-Splines.
Research: Trex is a new and environment-friendly engine product from Birmingham High Performance Turbomachinery. Compared with other engines nowadays, it improves combustion efficiency and reduces the internal loss of energy by radical engine configuration and design. Its Advanced air bearing system improves compressor power by 30% and provides a low emission running. Necessary parts are designed with B-Spline curves and surfaces, contributing to enhancing the airflow efficiency such as the casing, the inlet/outlet air ducts and so on. Like the lotus growing in the pond, Trex is the revolution of traditional engine design.

Operation Flow: It ideally echoes the role of mathematics as an interface between science and art, and demonstrates that B-Spline and CFD can form an excellent combination of science and arts and provide a powerful tool for creating and analyzing arts.
