About Global Hub Square Kancelářská budova

Global Hub Square je komplex kancelářských budov umístěný v lese na ostrově Awadži v Japonsku. Projekt přemístil tokijskou kancelář na klidné přírodní místo obklopené čerstvým vzduchem a mořským vánkem. Velká okna přivádějí do interiéru sluneční světlo a vzduch a otevírají místnosti do krajiny. Jídelna nabízí zdravá jídla připravená z místních surovin jak zaměstnancům, tak obyvatelům ostrova. Architektura připomíná chrám díky sérii půvabných oblouků a velkému centrálnímu schodišti. Celková podlahová plocha činí 2257 metrů čtverečních.

Unique Properties
The work style has changed dramatically in Japan after the Corona pandemic. The design labo client decided to move their Tokyo office to a remote island. They choose a site in the middle of the forest, where no offices or traffic jam are around, instead, fresh air, sea breeze and nature are surrounding the location. The client wanted a beautiful view of the landscape, large windows to let in plenty of sunlight and wind come inside, and a cafeteria, where both employees and resident of the island could enjoy healthy meals made with local food.

Inspiration
The island where this building is located is said to be the first island created by a deity in Japanese mythology. The deity loved the island and lived there for the last days of its life. The design labo imagined the temple as it might have existed there and the resulting design is a series of graceful arches, with a large staircase in the middle that, metaphorically, leads to heaven. the goal was to create an environment where people can feel the blessings of nature and work safely in cooperation with the residents
Project Duration
the project was completed in April 2022 in Awaji Island, Japan.
