About Kun Cynllun Mewnol Gwesty
Cynllun mewnol gwesty mewn ardal dwristaidd yn Taichung, Taiwan yw Kun, gydag arwynebedd llawr cyfan o 5620 metr sgwâr. Mae'r cynllun yn rhoi sylw arbennig i'r llwybr arcâd sy'n arwain at y maes parcio ac sy'n cysylltu'r llawr gwaelod â'r llawr cyntaf. Ffurfir y bwâu â phibellau haearn wedi'u sicrhau o dan y nenfwd concrit atgyfnerthedig ar wahanol lethrau ac onglau. Mae goleuni a deflir o'r llawr yn creu haenau o oleuni a chysgod. Y nod yw troi parcio, anhawster cyffredin yn yr ardal, yn gyrhaeddiad tawel a phleserus.

- Unique Properties
- Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us, or we find it not. By Ralph Waldo Emerson. In my opinion, creating a relaxing environment is more important than anything when it comes to hotel design. This will help the traveler to carry beauty and savor all that he had seen and heard.
- Dimensions & Packaging
- The total floor area is 5620 square meter.

- Production Technology
- Kun hotel is a new-built building. Expect for the regulation and comfortable bedroom, I focus on creating a pleasant in-between space which is the arcade aisle for parking lot. The arcade has connected the ground floor and first floor. To build the arch, iron pipes are fixed under the reinforced concrete ceiling and installed base on different slope and angle.
- Design Challenge
- This project is located in a popular tourist area with about 50 hotels nearby. Since parking in this area is a big issue, I want to make the parking space a beautiful memory. In addition, the in-between space will help passengers to settle their mood before enter the hotel. It was a nightmare to find a parking space before, but now it is a joyful experience.
- Research
- The hotel owner pays much attention to the arcade for parking lot. As a result, I focus mostly on the shape and lighting of the arcade. The arcade is curved by iron and has a light projection from the floor. Driving on the arcade is like traveling inside a time tunnel.
- Inspiration
- KUN is an acronym which stands for Know your Need, and is homophonic with sleep in Taiwanese. It dedicates to providing provide thoughtful service and high quality environment with comfortable rooms.
- Project Duration
- The project is designed from 2014 to 2016, and built from 2015 to 2017 in Taichung Taiwan.
- Operation Flow
- Before entering the hotel, the travelers are greeted by the arcade aisle space of the parking lot. Inside the aisle, layers by layers the light and shadow build a rhythm space. Along with little stars, the visitors are guided into another space and time, changing the mood to welcome the next stop. The oblique and staggered floor in the hall makes the vision extend and enrich the space. It has intertwined with the shadow and dividing lines of the wall in order to create a beautiful movement.
Coming out from the elevator, the customer will see the inclined geometric block which lengthen the field of vision and make people ignore the low ceiling. - Patents
