About Velo Solex Revival Beic Trydan

Mae Velo Solex Revival yn feic trydan wedi'i seilio ar y moped petrol Solex gwreiddiol a gyflwynwyd ym 1949. Mae geometreg y ffrâm a siâp y ffrâm yn dilyn y gwreiddiol o 1949, tra bod y ffrâm wedi'i haddasu i ddal modur trydan a batri. Defnyddir deunyddiau modern, gan gynnwys alwminiwm, carbon a dur. Mae deunyddiau ysgafn fel carbon a kevlar yn helpu i gadw'r pwysau'n isel, sy'n gweddu i gymeriad ysgafn a chwaraeongar y beic. Mae'r cerbyd yn mesur 180 cm wrth 55 cm wrth 95 cm ac yn pwyso 25 cilogram. Datblygwyd y cynllun gyda mewnwelediadau a gasglwyd gan 500 o ddefnyddwyr.

Unique Properties
Our company has the right to use the Solex brand via a license agreement. The original Solex was introduced in the year 1949 as a gasoline moped. We have taken the design from that time and converted into an electric bicycle. The geometry of the frame and the shape of the frame is the same as in 1949. Wez have converted the frame to accommodate an electric motor and a battery. A lot of modern materials has been used to create this vehicle such as aluminium for the frame.
Dimensions & Packaging
180 cm x 55 cm x 95 cm. Weight 25 Kilo
Tags

Production Technology
A variation of materials are used to realise this vehicle. Alluminium, Carbon and steel
Design Challenge
The most critical challenge was to get the weight down to a record breaking level. The electric bicycle has a race bike dna and must therefor be light. But having the added weight of a battery and a motor was the most difficult challenge. The way we have solved the challenges is by using untraditional materials for an electric bike such as carbon and kevlar instead of metal and alloy
Research
We have done research in aerodynamics, weight ratio to stiffness of the frames. This is a totally new method in the electric bicycles industry where those parameters mentioned has not been explored before now with our new Velo Solex bicycle product. Diavelo, Easybike and K&K has the licence rights to use the Velo Solex brand for electric bicycles.
Inspiration
We have been inspired by the original Velo Solex gasoline moped from the year 1946. Then we have converted the old shapes into a modern vehicle with the use of modern materials and an electric drive train from Bosch.
Project Duration
12 month from first sketch to the final Product. Paris 2019
Operation Flow
The design is developed based on insights collected from 500 end consumers
