About Pop Modern Design Ardal Fwyta Technoleg Uchel
Mae'r profiad bwyta hwn o fewn amgylchedd gwaith Technoleg Uchel yn Ne Israel yn cynnig dihangfa o ddiwylliant swyddfa beunyddiol i encil hamddenol heb adael yr adeilad. Ysbrydolwyd thema'r dyluniad gan dri arddull: Celf Bop, Art Deco a Modern, wedi'u cyfuno yn un neges weledol o hamdden. Mae dyluniad y gofod hwn yn cyd-fynd â gwerthoedd y cwmni: i feiddio ac i freuddwydio. Mae echelin symudiad o'r fynedfa yn arwain yr ymwelydd i mewn i goridor 40 metr o hyd, wedi'i ddiffinio gan y llawr, y nenfwd a'r gosodiad goleuadau. Roedd golau naturiol yn elfen hanfodol a gymerwyd i ystyriaeth.

- Production Technology
- Metal, glass and wood uniquely combine together and function as definitive wall petitions running the full length of the dining space passageway, creating a sculpture-type room divider.
- Design Challenge
- The large, empty, open space was allocated for dining purpose design during the building construction. This space needed to include an industrial kitchen alongside a dining compound. Natural light was a vital element component taken into consideration, the challenge being a long and narrow space providing light outlets at the extreme ends only. Light compensation was provided in the form of bright neon signs attached to the walls, in addition to the warm Led light fixtures.
The long and narrow shape of the room was dramatized using Art Deco slab dividers, marking the division between corridor and dining areas. - Research
- Design research consisted of planning the number of daily users, calculating the kitchen capacity to provide sufficient dishes, sitting accomodation and time settings. One thousand meals is the limited kitchen capacity, providing for two hundred diners at a time. The company has seven hundred employees with a three-hour lunch break allowance. The research was built upon past documentation from previous company locations.
- Inspiration
- The design theme was inspired by three distinct styles: Pop Art, Art Deco and Modern, combined into a single visual message of recreation.
A hint of the American vintage Diner period is portrayed by neon signs placed casually on the walls, the tall Art Deco dividers extend the entire length of the eatery and combine with the modern concrete floor and wall tiling.
The furniture chosen is of understated design blending amongst the various design statements. - Project Duration
- The project started in February 2019 in Sderot, Israel and finished in February 2020, and was open to the public in February 2021 in response to the pandemic restrictions.
- Operation Flow
- Upon entering, the visitor instantly recognizes the functional layout, with a clearly defined path. The user initially encounters the hand-washing niche, followed by various buffet stations leading to the sitting area. Exit from the dinery is equally practical and defined.
