Über Nireeka Nyx Elektrofahrrad

Nireeka Nyx ist ein Elektrofahrrad, das für Offroad- und Trailfahrten konzipiert wurde. Der Hauptrahmen besteht aus Monocoque-Karbonfaser, die zugleich leicht und steif ist. Vorder- und Hinterradfederung sorgen für ein geschmeidiges Fahrverhalten. Anstelle manuell wählbarer Unterstützungsstufen wird die Motorleistung über die Herzfrequenz der fahrenden Person gesteuert, sodass sich die zusätzliche Kraft natürlich anfühlt. Ein Gyro-Assistenzsystem passt die Motorleistung zudem an die Neigung des Geländes an, was die Reichweite des Akkus verlängert. Der Rahmen setzt auf geschwungene, fließende Flächen statt auf die im Fahrradbau üblichen einfachen Dreiecksrohre.

Einzigartige Eigenschaften: The Nyx is a lightweight, competitively priced, full-suspension off-roader featuring high-quality components and Nireeka's premium custom carbon fiber frame. The main frame is monocoque carbon fiber and super light and stiff at the same time. Not only the material is a premium but also the method that is being used to make the frame is top of the line.
Abmessungen & Verpackung: Compared to the rest of the bicycles in this test field, the Nyx is the most conservative resulting in being the most versatile, with a short 448 mm reach in size Medium, 1254 mm wheelbase, and short 435 mm chainstays.
The 67 head angle and slack 71.2 seat angle will disappoint those looking for radical geometry. The geometry is finished with a 645 mm stack to give the rider an aggressive and comfortable riding position at the same time and a 20 mm bottom bracket drop.

Produktionstechnologie: Normal e-bikes deliver the motor power by selecting the assist level manually while Nyx gets the rider's heartbeat rate and delivers the exact amount of torque based on that. The bike feels bionic since you feel connected to the bike because of the real-time calibration. The other feature is the Gyro-assist system. It delivers the motor power based on the inclination value of the slope and will customize the motor output. This is the best way to get the most possible range out of the battery.
Designherausforderung: One of the major challenges was to have an integrated motor and battery in the frame while protecting our philosophy and design language which is not having simple triangle tubes mostly seen in this industry during the past century. Finding an outsourced high capacity battery, and a motor with a high-end technology that can perfectly fit in a limited space of the uniquely elegant frame designed by Nireeka, made the challenge more complicated but the impediment has been overcome successfully.
Forschung: From the design perspective, the outer shell of a bike is the main chassis and the body at the same time. The chassis can not be covered by a shell like cars so the bike frame should be exciting enough. Technically, the main challenge was to give the bike a more natural feeling since most of the pro riders consider having a motor as cheating. If the bike delivers a proper amount of torque, which we did that by using the heartbeat rate, they will be convinced that biking still can be a sport.
Inspiration: There is no specific design language in most bicycle brands. All the Nireeka models are easily recognizable because of the floating surfaces and lines called flame surfacing inspired by Nyx, a primordial deity in Greek mythology and is the personification of the night.
Projektdauer: The idea and sketching phase started in November 2019 in Dubai and the design finalized in March 2020. The molding process has started in May 2020 in Shenzhen and the first prototype came out a month after that at the same place. The testing phase began in June in Dubai and after 5 months of developing the features and creating the e-commerce selling platform, the bike released in the global market in December 2020.
Betriebsablauf: An electric bike is a normal bicycle with extra power provides by an electric motor mounted on the frame. The engine makes pedaling easier so commuting, offroading, and going uphill will not be a pain anymore. The main battery is chargeable as easy as charging a smartphone and the ride will be as smooth as a family car thanks to the rear and front suspension.
