Über The Animal Backbone Ladengeschäft-Interieur

„The Animal Backbone" ist das Interieur eines Ladengeschäfts in Shanghai, untergebracht in einem historischen Gebäude, das einst als Schlachthof diente und heute ein Kultur- und Kreativzentrum ist. Der Raum umfasst 100 Quadratmeter und ist mit Metallplatten, Spiegeln und Glas gestaltet. Der Grundriss folgt der Laufspur einer Katze, wobei ein Kreis den inneren und den äußeren Bereich voneinander trennt. Türen und Fenster ermöglichen Blickbeziehungen zwischen den beiden Zonen, während im Inneren Szenerien von Wohnzimmer, Essbereich, Küche und Badezimmer angeordnet sind. Der Entwurf regt zum Nachdenken darüber an, wie Menschen und Tiere die Stadt miteinander teilen.

Respecting the tens of thousands of animal souls, we are always looking for a way to have a commemorative architecture, trying to make an icy building to echo the concrete, and to arouse the painful memories and facts of killing animals because of lust.
