Design Details
- Unique Properties
- "YAMAMOTOYAMA" is one of the oldest and most established tea merchants in Japan. It has been the first to sell Green tea today. With the concept of "Return to the origin of Edo", we have redesigned the packages to keep the traditional tea culture alive and pass it on to the future. To make them modern while retaining the charm of the long history brand, we referred to the traditional colours and structure of the scrolls with YAMAMOTOYAMA’s original small crests and the calligraphy style of Edo.
- Inspiration
- To rebrand YAMAMOTOYAMA, the aesthetic sense of the Edo period was the key. There was a unique culture of layering colours called Color Matching. For new packages, we selected from among the traditional Japanese colours based on the concept of that culture. The psychological impressions of the colours were chosen to reflect the taste and regional characteristics of the tea. The branding expresses the traditional tea culture as a bridge to connect tradition with the future.
