Design Details
- Unique Properties
- The design reflects the essence of protective gear-solid yet flexible, precise yet warm-organizing spaces into three rhythmic zones: reception and quick-meeting at the front, open workspace at the center, and executive offices at the rear. Interlaced iron, glass, and cabinetry create transparency and layered depth. Movable partitions, grille walls, and standing counters define flexible meeting and display areas, while a light-diffusing ceiling ensures even, glare-free illumination.
- Inspiration
- The 1,240 m2 corporate headquarters embodies the sports protection brand's spirit: 'resilient yet professional.' Interior design paralleled architecture, using light and structure to guide daylight from the exterior across reception, corridors, meeting rooms, and workspaces along a horizontal axis. Spatial choreography balances human flow with functional zoning, creating a grounded, approachable atmosphere that reflects the brand's calm professionalism and dynamic identity.
- Research
- The new headquarters of a sports protection brand translates resilience and professionalism into space. Light guides circulation from reception to work and meeting areas, while iron, glass, and grilles weave partitions that connect yet define zones. Flexible second-floor rooms adapt to use. The black-gray-white palette balances grounding, structure, and illumination. 'Interwoven Order' embodies space like fabric-linking light, material, and people into the brand's living texture.
- Challenge
- As a self-built project, the process progressed 'from nothing to completion.' Major challenges included cross-disciplinary coordination and time management. Architects, interior designers, and MEP engineers pre-planned structural penetrations and light shafts. Over two years, construction and material selection were synchronized to unify architecture and interior, achieving a seamless fusion of light, line, and structure, offering occupants clarity, comfort, and harmonious spatial flow.
- Realization and Technology
- The space is composed of a black, gray, and white palette, each tone serving a structural purpose. Black acts as the woven foundation that carries strength, gray harmonizes surfaces and establishes rhythm, white releases spatial tension, allowing light to flow freely. Flooring is laid with stone-patterned porcelain tiles, while walls and partitions combine glass, painted steel, and matte coatings, achieving a balance of rigidity and softness. Light reflects and diffuses across these varied textures, revealing the brand's steady rhythm and professional depth through subtle material transitions.
- Operation and Interaction
- The space promotes efficiency and interaction: open circulation enables spontaneous encounters, while standing-meeting zones act as dynamic hubs. Semi-transparent display walls balance connectivity with focus. The light-membrane ceiling provides soft, stable illumination for comfort and concentration. Meeting and display rooms are reconfigurable, allowing smooth transitions between exhibition and negotiation, reflecting the company's professionalism and brand identity.
- Project Duration and Location
- The project finished in March 2025 in Taiwan.
- Specifications
- The site is a self-developed, four-story structure covering 1240 square meters. The first and second floors serve as the main office areas, while the third and fourth floors are reserved for future expansion. Spatial organization was planned in tandem with the architectural design, minimizing post-construction modification and waste. Each floor is zoned by column grids, forming clear circulation and hierarchy. Vertical flow, via elevator and staircase, is optimized with natural light shafts, enabling air and light to circulate seamlessly between levels.
