About Pop Pop Ekitaldi Diseinua

Pop Pop Korean dauden zortzi zerga-libreko dendentzat sortutako neguko sasoiko ekitaldi-diseinu bat da. Proiektuak elementu kulturalak espazio komertzialarekin konbinatzen ditu, erosketa-esperientzia bat baino gehiago eskaintzeko. Santaren Herrixka gaiak negua, Eguberriak eta oparaiak batzen ditu, bidaiaren une preziatuak gogorarazten dituela. Pertsonaien, animalien eta zuhaitzen ilustrazioak elkarren gainean gainjartzen diren lerroekin lotzen dira, irudiak puzzle bat bezala irakurri ahal izateko. Neon-flex argiztapena, akrilikoa eta fomexa erabiltzen dira espazio arkitektoniko zuriari kolorea eta argia gehitzeko.

Unique Properties
It was a winter season project for the spatial experience design of Lotte Duty Free that combined cultural elements with retail space to deliver more than shopping experience. We suggested a story that reminds us of precious moments of travel with a seasonal space direction and product design for travel goods. The illustrations by Dutch artist Jordy Van Den Nieubdijk portrayed the winter in Santa Village. The illustrations represented the theme in an elaborate process like completing a picture with hundreds of puzzle pieces.

Production Technology
As all three-dimensional productions were linear, we grappled with how to express them. The neon-flex lights were designed to be attached or stand independently by using acrylic and fomex. We concentrated the technology on coloring the white architectural space with various colors and lights.
Design Challenge
The biggest challenge was to reconstruct the illustrations to fit the different spaces and interior designs of the eight stores. On top of the specified form, we tested and applied everything we could change including materials, size and more.
Research
Duty Free retail stores have distinct characteristics for the tendency of customer visit compared to the normal retail stores. They tend to make visits targeting a certain period of time (after making a trip reservation) irregularly. Design VMD must consider the decoration of the space and the image of the season together. In addition, we tried spatial experience design, which combined cultural elements with space to deliver more than just shopping experience.
Inspiration
We paid attention that the special purpose of shopping space of Duty Free Shop is where people visit for travel. The motif of Santa Village was an item that could include meanings of the winter, Christmas in the winter, and gifts altogether. The illustration style of the artist in a way like a puzzle helped to express new images.
Project Duration
Nov 2018 ~ Jan 2019, 8 Lotte Duty Free Shops in Korea
Operation Flow
The composition of images consisted of the characters holding gifts, animals and trees. However, the separating lines between the elements were connected or overlapped with each other and they provided a pleasure as if enjoying a puzzle. By recreating or separating various characters, a fresh and different joy was created at where the eyes of customers visiting the shop stayed. To ensure that customers who come to Duty Free Shops with the expectation of travel have greater expectation and enjoyment, the Duty Free Shop was designed to be another route to convey the travel experience.
