About The Things Altzairu Herdoilgaitzezko Ontziak

The Things Zen sentimendua duen filosofia batean inspiratutako ontzi poligonalen multzoa da. 5 katilu multzoa, 5 ontzi ezberdin gisa ikusten direnak, baina denak berdinak dira, gailu irekia plano desberdinetan dago, jendeak forma guztiz desberdinak direla pentsa dezan. Mundu batean berdintasunaren eta errespetuaren ideia ematen du. Multzoak bost elementuak ere adierazten ditu Metala, Egurra, Ura, Sua eta amp; Lurra. Bakoitza poligono gisa diseinatuta dago, mahai-tresnak, etxeko dekorazioa eta arte-eskultura gisa forma ez-konbentzionala duen. Multzoko pieza bakoitza leundu egiten da & ispilu akabera.

Production Technology: The creativity is totally beyond the production possibilities. Abnormal and polygonal design of bowl requires special metalworking techniques that the defective rate is high.
Design Challenge: The creativity is totally beyond the production possibilities. Abnormal and polygonal design of bowls requires additional metalworking techniques that the defective rate is high.
Research: Exploring various metalworking production techniques were crucial to the success of the production of this project.
Inspiration: The design idea is from the philosophy of The Equality of Things by Zhuangzi who was the philosopher in the ancient Asia. Under ZEN, everything is the same, and people agree or deny other’s point of views are based on their own perspective subjectively. This inspires us to create the polygonal bowl set of 5 which are seen as 5 different bowls, but in fact the bowls are the same, just the open top is on the different planes. From a start to the end, it is the same thing, no matter of race & origin.
Project Duration: The project started in April 2020 in Hong Kong and finished in September 2020 in China.
Operation Flow: This set of bowls can be used as tableware, home decors and also modern blocks for meditation.
