About Ajinomoto Taipei Headquarters Kantoar Ynterieurûntwerp
Ajinomoto Taipei Haadkantoar is in kantoarynterieur fan 377 kwadraatmeter yn Taipei City. It kantoar beslacht in loft mei in plafondheechte fan acht meter oan de Zhongshan North Road. It ûntwerp folget de Japanske Wabi-Sabi-estetyk, dy't skientme fynt yn ûnfolmakkens. In teaterrûte tekenet de kontoeren fan de fertikale romte, draacht de liedingen foar klimaatbehearsking, ventilaasje en ferljochting, en foarmet in feilich platfoarm foar ûnderhâld. In symmetryske seskante yndieling makket flexibel meubilêr en in frij plakkesysteem sûnder fêste sitplakken mooglik. Lûddichte kabinen jouwe privacy en fermindere lûdshinder.

- Production Technology
- The office redesign incorporates a theater catwalk concept to outline vertical spaces, serving as a relaxation area for employees and integrating functional pipelines for air conditioning, ventilation, and lighting systems. This also provides a safe platform for future maintenance work.
- Design Challenge
- Adapting to the high rental costs in the urban area, the renovation was strategically executed in two phases for efficient relocation. The design challenge was to create a multipurpose space that could accommodate diverse working and interaction needs, including soundproof phone booths for privacy and noise reduction.
- Research
- The project required an in-depth analysis of sunlight exposure, energy-saving lighting plans, and the integration of ergonomic principles to enhance the quality and functionality of the workspace, focusing on human-centered design and maintenance accessibility.
- Inspiration
- The design concept was inspired by the Japanese aesthetic of Wabi-Sabi, which finds beauty in imperfection and transience. This aesthetic guided the renovation of the century-old office for Ajinomoto, a leading producer of amino acids and related products, which has established a critical presence in the medical and electronics markets since its founding in 1908.
- Project Duration
- The project started in Jun. 2022 and finished in Sep. 2022 in Taipei City.
- Operation Flow
- The office layout adopts a symmetrical hexagonal OA arrangement, accommodating flexible furniture arrangements that support a Free Address system without fixed seating positions. This setup is responsive to the changing demands of remote work, video conferencing, and pandemic-related safety measures.
