- This research surveyed the existing air conditioner outdoor units on the market and found that the majority of them have fixed wind directions. Based on the exploration of this pain point, we developed a louver - style air conditioner with rotatable grilles as the key design feature.
- Inspiration
- Drawing inspiration from louvers, the outdoor unit adjusts the wind direction by rotating its blades. This addresses the issue that during the operation of traditional outdoor units, pedestrians feel discomfort from being blown by cold air in winter and hot air in summer.Having humanistic care. - Operation Flow
- When pedestrians pass by, the air conditioner outdoor unit automatically senses and closes the grille blades closest to them, blocking the hot air from blowing towards pedestrians. When the pedestrians leave, the louver grille returns to its normal state. When the air conditioner is not in use, the louver also closes automatically to prevent dust and rainwater from entering.
