Dearadh í an Túr mar ghlantóir aeir do thithe. Leanann an corp cruth caol cuartha atá spreagtha ag coim chúng, rud a thugann cuma bhog galánta don ghléas. Téann an t-aer isteach trí ionghabháil 360 céim agus déantar é a scagadh chun formaildéad agus gáis dhíobhálacha eile a scaoiltear ag maisiú inmheánach a laghdú.
