About ExyOne Shoulder Weosble Exoskeleton

Is e an EXYONE a ’chiad exoskeleton a chaidh a dhealbhadh gu tur ann am Brasil agus air a thoirt gu buil leis an teicneòlas ionadail. Tha e na exoskeleton so-ruigsinneach, le fòcas air an àrainneachd gnìomhachais agus a ’leigeil le oidhirp a’ ghnìomhaiche lughdachadh gu 8Kg, a ’leasachadh coileanadh sàbhailte agus a’ lughdachadh leòntan anns na buill as àirde agus air ais. Tha an toradh air a dhealbhadh gu sònraichte airson an neach-obrach margaidh ionadail agus na feumalachdan biotype aige, a bhith ruigsinneach a thaobh chosgaisean agus gnàthaichte airson diofar sheòrsaichean bodhaig. Bheir e cuideachd mion-sgrùdadh dàta IoT, a leigeas le coileanadh an neach-obrach a leasachadh.

About the Duais Iarainn A' Design Award

Tha ExyOne Shoulder Weosble Exoskeleton air Duais Iarainn A' Design Award a bhuannachadh, aithneachadh urramach a bheirear do dhealbhaidhean math a choinnicheas ris na riatanasan proifeiseanta is gnìomhachais a thathar a' sùileachadh bho chruthachaidhean a chaidh an dealbhadh gu math. Tha buannaichean Iarainn a' nochdadh sgil mhòr, speisealachadh àrd, tuigse eòlaiche agus comas cruthachail an luchd-cruthachaidh. Thathar an dùil gum bi ExyOne Shoulder Weosble Exoskeleton na chruthachadh air a bheil mòran meas, ion-mholta agus gràdhach a tha practaigeach agus ùr-ghnàthach. Tha an dealbhadh seo a bhuannaich Duais Iarainn A' Design Award a' cur nan cleachdaidhean as fheàrr sa ghnìomhachas còmhla agus tha feartan teignigeach comasach aige ceangailte ri eòlas-dèanamh agus tàlant. Tha meas air ExyOne Shoulder Weosble Exoskeleton airson a dhùrachd agus chaidh a dhealbhadh gus leasachaidhean càileachd beatha a thoirt seachad a chuidicheas le bhith a' dèanamh an t-saoghail na àite nas fheàrr.

Unique Properties
The wearable exoskeleton for industry with the use of IoT (internet of things) that allows the reduction of effort in the operator's upper limbs, reducing injuries and improving performance and safety. The design of this wearable was developed specifically for the needs of the Brazilian worker and biotype, being accessible and customizable, representing the first exoskeleton with totally Brazilian technology and design.
Dimensions & Packaging
Product dimensions: Width 430 mm x Depth 300 mm x Height 550 mm

Production Technology
Structure manufacturing process: folded carbon steel tube (automatic folder) and welding. Receives electrostatic epoxy paint.
Structure components: 3D printing, machining, welding, drilling, screw, stamping, milling, electrostatic epoxy painting and laser cutting. Vest manufacturing process: sewing and embroidery. Structure materials and components: Carbon steel, spring steel, bronze, PLA, ABS and PU. Vest Materials: polyester and polyamide fabric, ABS loops and PU foam.
Design Challenge
Through interdisciplinary work with stakeholders (designers, engineers, ergonomists, physiotherapists and workers) to transfer efforts from exo structure to user's body. The result was an exoskeleton that empowers workers, protecting muscles, joints and bones. It's comfortable, washable, anti-electrostatic, anti-odor, with flame retardant and bacteriostatic. It connects IoT to collect data and analyze activities through sensors, supporting healthy and safe work, avoiding repetitive injuries.
Research
Desk Field, Focus Groups, Consumer Insights, Trend Mappings. We collect all data through immersive process including consumer, designers and multidisciplinary teams (marketing, engineer, anthropology, etc.). Objective: Bring innovation and differentiation to Latin America market. Method: Consumer-Centric Insights with Design based approach to solving problems. Steps: Research (map and understand), Conceptualize (alternative generation), Visualize (renderings), Realize (prototype) and Implement.
Inspiration
The main inspiration was to offer the Brazilian market equipment that is accessible even to small and medium sized companies, which previously had no access to imported equipment on the market due to cost and difficulty of maintenance. Another inspiration is to have a user centered design, the product is developed based on the variety of the Brazilian population (biotype, sex, age), offering the best ergonomics and low maintenance in this market.
Project Duration
Started in October 2018, in Brazil. The project finished in July 2019, in Brazil.
Operation Flow
The EXYONE has been designed to be dressed and undressed by operator in a fast way, not requiring any kind of support. The wearable backpack allows a fast and autonomous use. This takes advantage of both, simplified the use and transfer of efforts from the exo arms structures to the body, in a gradual manner, decreasing the body efforts of a specific muscular structure.

The sequence to wear is:
1. Release the waist, chest locks, and buckle;
2. Open the exoskeleton arms to dress up;
3. Attach and adjust the straps, waist and chest buckles;
4. Adjust the strap under the arm;
5. Finally, adjust the level of lift.
