About Casa Marina Dealbhadh Taobh a-staigh Còmhnaidh

'S e Casa Marina dealbhadh taobh a-staigh taigh prìobhaideach ochd-lobhta ann an Tai Po, Hong Kong. Tha an t-àite-còmhnaidh, 2,006 troigh ceàrnagach, a' leantainn bun-bheachd mion-fheumach a fhreagras air iarrtas an t-seilbheadair airson sìmplidheachd. Chan eil ach nas lugha na còig dathan air an cleachdadh air feadh an dachaigh gus eòlas co-chòrdail is seasmhach a chruthachadh. Tha eileamaidean fiodha agus làr fiodha a' ceangal nan lobhtaichean agus a' ceangal an taigh ris a' ghàrradh phrìobhaideach. Tha crannlusan stoidhle-eireachdail agus lampaichean balla a' frithealadh mar sgeadachadh agus a' toirt sìos an fhòcas anns na seòmraichean le mullaichean àrda. Bidh dathan nas duirche a' cothromachadh solas làitheil làidir nan uinneagan làr-gu-mullach.

Production Technology
Since the designer chose to applied less than five colours to enhance the idea of simplicity and consistency, in order to diminish the monotonous tone, the design also embellished the design with wooden elements. In addition to connecting the whole house, the wooden flooring also bridged a gap between the house and the private garden.
Design Challenge
There are two main challenges for this particular design. Firstly, this house is half-layered structured, therefore there is one room on each level and stairs in between. It was quite perplexing to turn the house to a space that fits the owner's requirements and needs. Moreover, the ceiling level of the house is disproportionately high when comparing with the area of each level which then an insecure atmosphere were set up.
Research
Sunlight can be easily brought to the living room and kitchen due to the floor-to-ceiling windows. Thus, darker colours are applied to these two areas in order to balance the lighting contrast and further reduce the spaciousness and emptiness. For rooms in upper levels, the designer managed to applied lighter colours to reduce the oppression and create a relaxed environment for the owner.
Inspiration
Answering the owner's request, it is a design full of simplicity and Minimalism concept. While no sumptuous or luxurious items such as metal and marble stone can be seen in the house, a neutral color palette is well applied to the design so as to create an amiable environment and the best place for the owner to seek for calmness.
Project Duration
The project started in March 2019 and is completed in September 2019.
Operation Flow
To make sure the owner can fully make use of the spacious house, the designer transformed some of the bedrooms to functional rooms. For example, an extra large bathroom with a lily-white bathtub at the centre and a dressing room-like cloakroom. However, due to the half-storey design of the house, it is inexpedient for the owner or guests to walk up and down. Therefore, bathroom, closet and television are installed in every room.
