About Mixed Reality Suiteáil Holagrafach
Is suiteáil holagrafach idirghníomhach í Mixed Reality a cruthaíodh do sheastán taispeántais faoi straitéis fuinnimh chathair Mhoscó. Tá an tsuiteáil bunaithe ar phrionsabal Taibhse Pepper, a leathnaíodh le sraitheanna breise. Oibríonn balla cúlra LED, trí theilgeoir urláir agus soilsiú LED atá suite ar an tsíleáil i gcomhar le scragall holagrafach, scátháin agus fuaim. Tugann solas agus scáth beoite braistint láidir láithreachta do na hoibiachtaí teilgthe. Roghnaíonn cuairteoirí topaic ar scáileán tadhaill agus breathnaíonn siad ar fhíoracha agus ar ghraif ag teacht chun cinn agus ag imeacht san aer.

- Unique Properties
- The interactive installation was the central part of the exhibition stand and told about the energy strategy of the city of Moscow. To solve the presentation problem, we used hologram technology using a special approach, which allowed us to get a deep illusion of the presence of real objects. Due to the combination of screens, projections, mirrors and sound, we got all the attributes of real objects, except touch.

- Production Technology
- We used the traditional Pepper’s Ghost concept. The setup itself consisted of a LED backdrop wall, three projectors for the floor and LED mounted to the ceiling. Using of the projectors gave the opportunity to extend animations from the backdrop wall via the floor onto the holographic foil. Also, we added plasticity to the hologram by providing it with an animated shadow. We created our own UI for a designers to make them work in general animation channel of entire scene.
- Research
- We have all seen holograms in science fiction films, but real technology is very far from these examples. How can we approach these results without going into fundamental physics? We found the most affordable technology and tried to add the missing elements. After going through different effects, we realized that the main thing that makes us believe in a hologram is its effect on the objects around, namely light and shadow. By adding these attributes, we get tremendous realism.
- Inspiration
- When we received a task to present a topic related to energy, we immediately wanted the graphics to be weightless and represent energy itself. When we started looking for suitable solutions, we discovered an old technology from 1584 - Pepper's Ghost. In its current form, it had a number of serious flaws and we decided to finalize it, which led us to unexpected and very interesting results.
- Project Duration
- The project started on October 3, 2017 in Moscow and finished on October 7, 2017. It was exhibited in the first International forum on energy efficiency and energy development "Russian energy week"
- Operation Flow
- Interaction with the installation took place using the touch screen. The user chose a topic of interest and watched objects, figures, and graphs that explain complex processes in the energy industry appear or dissolve in the air.
