About X House Edificio Residencial
A Casa X é un edificio residencial situado nun bosque mixto na cidade de Kharkiv, Ucraína. O respecto polo lugar e a preservación dos espazos verdes existentes guiaron o deseño e a construción. Grandes áreas de vidros panorámicos conectan o interior coas árbores circundantes, converténdose a natureza nun elemento destacado do espazo habitable. As proxeccións de teito en voladizo e as terrazas do segundo andar están feitas de formigón armado e forman liñas quebradas ao redor do volume principal. No exterior empréganse gres porcelánico, metal, madeira e paneis de fibrocemento. A área total é de 460 metros cadrados.

- Unique Properties
- The priority in the design and construction was the respect for the place and the preservation of existing green spaces, since the house is located in a unique place. It is a mixed forest located within the city. X-House interacts with the environment through a large area of panoramic glazing, thus integrating nature into the interior space of the house, making it a unique interior accent.

- The cantilever roof outlets and terraces of the second floor, which form graphic broken lines around the main volume of the house, implemented in reinforced concrete structures were of particular interest to architects.The exterior of the house is made of natural materials - porcelain stoneware, metal, wooden elements, fiber-cement panels - which support the general idea of connection with nature, “enter into dialogue” with the place, and do not contradict it.
- Inspiration
- Surrounded by a pure natural landscape, a phenomenon which is always unique in itself, architects wanted to turn to the basic principles and fundamental foundations of all applied disciplines - the play of light and shadow, volume and emptiness, combinations of contrast and nuance.
