About Megabox Morris Furniture Deseño de Interiores de Retallo

Megabox Morris Furniture é un interior de tenda de retallo creado para unha marca de mobles en Hong Kong. A tenda é ampla e curva, polo que os visitantes poden camiñar arredor e ver os produtos desde moitos ángulos. As particións están feitas de pel de madeira real. Unha gran paleta de mostras de coiro forma unha parede destacada no centro da tenda, para que os clientes poidan ver e tocar o material desde calquera posición. A parede destacada mide 6500 milímetros de ancho, 1500 milímetros de alto e 300 milímetros de profundidade. O coiro aplícase sobre táboas de madeira en ángulo, e azulexos de cemento cobren o chan.

Unique Properties: The design are aimed to have a variation of different angles of perspective where customers who enter the shop could have an easy round trip to inspect different of soda products. Whereas we have designed a big leather sample of palette for customers to touch and feel. This feature wall is placed in the middle of the shop background, where customers able to see the leather on any angle.
Dimensions & Packaging: the feature wall size is 6500(width)mmx1500mm(height)x300mm(depth). The feature wall was built using real wood board to make the angle shape, then to scald the leather on top of the layer.

Production Technology: We have use real wood skin to build the partitions, and real leather for the feature wall.
Design Challenge: The hardest part of the design is to use very limited time to build sustainable design. First we need to apply cement tiles on the floor, secondly we have to pre order decorative furnitures before we start our installations. lastly, we have to work at nights to prevent creating noise to others while the shopping mall is still open.
Inspiration: The shop is wide and curved, our design team has thought of the space where customers may like to walk around to look for the products. however, sometime customers would like to see bigger and feel or touch of the material that the shop provides. therefore we want to enlarge the touch and sense for customers to see and feel easier. therefore we have designed a big sample palette on the wall.
Project Duration: Project started in Sept 2022 in Hong Kong and the shop was launched at the end of oct 2022.
