Dot Sofia é un edificio de uso mixto para eventos e vida urbana en Sofia, Bulgaria. A estrutura de dous volumes acolle un espazo de arte contemporánea e eventos, un restaurante de sinatura e unidades residenciais. Dot Sofia érguese no histórico distrito de mercado, unha zona vinculada desde hai tempo ao comercio e descoidada nas últimas décadas. A fachada está feita de aceiro oxidado e evoca a materialidade envellecida do barrio. Persianas de grandes dimensións ábrense e péchanse, seguindo o ritmo da vida do mercado. O edificio remataouse en 2023 e conta cunha superficie bruta de 1576 metros cadrados.

- Unique Properties
- Embedded in the urban complexity of the biggest street market in Sofia the simple two volume structure of DOT Sofia building manifests unexpected different faces and scales from the possible viewpoints. The hybrid program of intertwined contemporary art and events space; signature restaurant and design urban living are injected in the rather neglected historic heart of the city with the clear ambition to redirect its inevitable transformation. The rusted steel facade preserves the characteristic aged materiality of the area while the dynamics of the oversized shutters follow the rhythm of the market life.

Neglected for the past decades, it is now evolving into a multi-cultural melting pot. DOT Sofia aims to contribute to the rediscovery and evolution of this still hidden urban cultural area.
