Fly to 2022 de Mayday é unha xira histórica tras o seu concerto en liña sen público durante a Covid-19. O espectáculo comezou nunha pequena sala de ensaios, trasladouse a un Estadio baleiro e rematou cun público en directo, simbolizando un retorno global á normalidade tras os confinamentos. A diferenza das súas anteriores montaxes suntuosas, esta xira céntrase en imaxería pura para transmitir emocións humanas e destacar temas centrados nas persoas como os problemas ambientais globais, os retos sociais relacionados coa pandemia, a vida cotiá e as relacións humanas. As actuacións buscan permitir que o público empatice e libere emocións, creando un impacto social positivo.

Unique Properties: The concert depicts society's current state featuring six classic songs with plenty of on-location shots videos. Through these authentic visuals, it conveys that amidst societal turmoil, the best everyone can do is to excel in their own responsibilities, hoping for the day when normalcy returns. But there is still some benefit that the Earth's environment gains respite from human activities coming to a halt. By supporting each other, after the adversity passes, we will radiate beautiful smiles.
Dimensions & Packaging: The stage has the largest-ever 132-meter-wide LED screen and a 140-meter extended runway stage. The video content employs a parallel universe filming technique with split screens and intertwined stories, illustrating the invisible connections between two unrelated worlds. It symbolizes that despite social distancing or physical separation, the closeness of relationships remains intact as long as hearts are connected, prompting reflection and redefining relationships between people.

Design Challenge: Organizing a concert amid the pandemic is a daunting task. Every aspect of the performance is interconnected, so any change impacts the entire event. The pandemic's unpredictability and the halt on live events demand constant adjustments and quick responses. Under the belief that "Be the Strength You Need," the team meticulously plan the transition from online to in-person, striving for perfection in every detail. The sight of satisfied smiles and emotional tears from the audience validates their hard work.
Research: Be the Strength You Need. Transitioning from online to in-person, the concert owes its success to the efforts of society's fight against COVID-19. As it concludes, Mayday shares heartfelt reflections and counts down to the new year with fans. Dazzling fireworks were bidding farewell to the pandemic and resonating deeply with the audience. This concert signifies hope and unity in the post-pandemic era, setting a new standard for live events with its innovative fusion of music and visual artistry.
Inspiration: In 2020, due to Covid-19 lockdowns, social and large-scale events worldwide were halted. To uphold their annual "Mayday in May" tradition, Mayday hosted Taiwan's first no-audience online concert, "Mayday Live in the Sky," at Taipei Stadium. This groundbreaking event garnered over 40 million views, providing significant encouragement during uncertain times. As the pandemic eased, Mayday continued this concept with their Fly to 2022 tour, marking their return to live performances.
Project Duration: The project started in January 2022 in Taichung and toured around the world.
Operation Flow: Fans initially skeptical of the "missing" theme were deeply moved by the concert. The song "Braveness+Breakthrough Day", accompanied by visuals depicting people's daily struggles, evoked tears, particularly among those facing hardships. Through stage design, lighting, and the program, the concert expressed profound feelings of longing, transforming the unspoken words and unperformed songs of isolation into an unforgettable experience that inspired the audience with positive energy and courage to begin anew.
