About Puente 75 Casa Residencial
Puente 75 é unha casa residencial situada en Monterrey, México. A casa abrangue 1.690 metros cadrados e reinterpreta a hacienda mexicana, cun patio central verde a partir do cal se despregan as estancias.

- Unique Properties
- The project was initially commissioned as a private residence for a single client. While his three adult children lived with their mother, the home needed to comfortably accommodate them during weekend visits or short stays. Each bedroom was designed to provide autonomy and privacy, including a full bathroom and an individual walk in closet within a compact footprint. The client also emphasized the importance of creating emotionally distinct spaces throughout the home.
- Dimensions & Packaging
- The house area is 1,690 Sq meters

- Production Technology
- Natural and locally sourced materials were used, including stone extracted from the same mountain range as the residence. Walnut wood from certified suppliers was used in different formats to minimize waste. Durable low maintenance materials such as Santo Tomas marble and porfido stone were selected. Construction strategies reduced water energy and material use. Drywall reduces thermal load and double clay brick walls with insulation improve thermal performance.
- Design Challenge
- The main challenge was reconciling the development guidelines requiring a contemporary Mexican exterior with the client preference for a modern interior. The design balances both by using traditional materials and proportions in the facade while creating clean open and refined interior spaces. This approach achieves contextual integration while reflecting the client lifestyle.
- Research
- The project was developed through a research driven design process integrating environmental analysis and user centered strategies. Climate variables such as temperature solar exposure and wind informed decisions to improve comfort and efficiency. Site topography guided spatial organization. The process incorporated user needs to balance privacy and social interaction achieving a design that responds to both context and inhabitants.
- Inspiration
- The design was supported by the symbolism of the four natural elements air, water, fire and earth. The design draws from the site privileged natural setting, an exclusive area with mature trees and mountain views. The goal was to integrate architecture and nature, ensuring every space connects visually and emotionally to the landscape. The layout reinterprets the Mexican hacienda, with a central green courtyard from which the program unfolds, balancing open and private areas.
- Project Duration
- The project started in April 2022 and was completed in October 2025. The residence is located in Monterrey Nuevo Leon Mexico within the private subdivision Las Estancias. The site is in a mountainous area with irregular topography vegetation and a unique microclimate. The orientation maximizes views and controls sun exposure where temperatures can reach 45 C. The location also ensures privacy and integration with the landscape.
- Operation Flow
- Every space in the residence is designed to support both shared use and individual enjoyment, strengthening family bonds while respecting personal privacy. The layout balances functionality, intimacy and gathering areas, creating a fluid experience across all levels. The design follows a spatial logic that encourages daily interaction without compromising individual privacy.
