About Dream Fitilar Tebur

Dream fitila ce ta tebur da aka tsara don bayar da haske mai laushi na muhalli. An yi tushenta a siffar matashin kai kuma an gina shi da kankare, yayin da yaɗa hasken (diffuser) sai kwallon gilashi da aka busa da hannu a birnin Venice. Ana yawan kallon kankare a matsayin abu mai tauri, sanyi kuma mai nauyi, saboda haka an tsara siffar ta yadda za ta bayyana laushi, sauƙi kuma mai ɗumi. Wata sabuwar hanya ta zubawa da kuma kankare mai kyakkyawan santsi suna baiwa saman fitilar kamanni ɗaya wanda babu wani kumfa da ake iya gani a bayyane. Fitilar tana da girman santimita 24 da 24 da kuma 14, kuma tana amfani da kwan fitila irin na G9 wanda ana iya rage ko ƙara haskensa, ta yadda za a iya daidaita haske mai ɗumi bisa buƙata.

Unique Properties: A dream, a lamp thought during the exploration with concrete sparked by the CONCRETAmente objects collection.

Production Technology: Through an innovative molding method and a particular type of very fine-grained concrete, we were able to obtain a unique shape that breaks the shemes and the usual stiffness of concrete.
The diffuser is obtained from a blown glass globe, handmade by the best glass masters of Venice.
Design Challenge: We were looking for a clever way of using concrete as main material for a table lamp. Our aim was to disconnect from the cold and solid sensation received from concrete.
Research: Starting from a deep research on small table lamps, we focused then on understanding which could be the right kind of light source.
Because the aim of this product is not to be a reading lamp, but to be an ambient lamp, the diffused light is the right choice.
What consumers are looking for in this category, is something that can warm up the environment. So concrete had to disconnect from the cold feeling that usually creates, and light had to be warm and dimmerable.
Inspiration: Concrete as a material is always associated in the collective imagination with something hard, cold and heavy. In MrSmith Studio we believe that the role of the designer should be also to break the schemes and subvert the collective imagination, suggesting new interpretations.
This is why we modeled concrete to give it a soft, enveloping, light and warm shape.
Project Duration: Development of the project took 6 months and has been entirely don in MrSmith Studio
Operation Flow: The project of Dream started with a deep research on concrete moulding techniques.
We've made several trials for defining the best material both for the mould, the concrete and the procedure.
The final result is a soft looking pillow, with a uniform fine grain an no bubbles visible.
