About House for Parents Gida

Gida na Iyaye wani gida ne a tsibirin Amami-Oshima, wani yanki mai tsananin yanayin zafi na wurare masu zafi da kuma yawan hadari mai karfi. Wani babban rufi mai siffar murabba'i mai kusurwa hudu yana samun taimakon tsarin ginin karafa mai fadin mita hudu. Rufin yana samar da wuri mai sanyi da inuwa a ciki, kwatankwacin sararin da ke karkashin manyan bishiyoyi. Bangwayen kankare suna tsayawa da kansu daban da tsarin rufin, saboda haka tsarin bene yana da 'yanci daga kayyaddawar da ginshikai ke haifarwa. Bangwayen kankare masu fitowa suna mika wuraren gama-gari zuwa waje ta fuskar yanayin tsibirin da ke kewaye.

Unique Properties: This house for parents located on Amami Island where is severe subtropical climate and often hit by typhoon. To tackle this climate, we install a large roof supported by 4 meter-span steel framework structure for a cool and shady environment as if it is a space under trees. Concrete walls are designed to stand independently to achieve a plan that is free from structure for the roof. The common areas are made to expend outwards with the projecting concrete walls as if it continues boundlessly.
Inspiration: As a traditional daily custom in this island, people gather and stay under the shadow of large trees. We aimed to create architecture that celebrate the culture of the region and lead to re-emerge the spirit of the traditional life in the island.
The space under the large roof which is supported by thin steel columns provide shady and cool comfortable interior that suite sever climate in the southern island.
