E Pili Ana iā Sunopy Pale Lā a me ka Ua no nā Ala Hele Wāwae

Hoʻolauna mai ka papahana Sunopy i kekahi ano hou no nā kūlanakauhale wela: he māwehe hoʻoiliili lā e hāʻawi ana i ka malu hele wāwae me ka hana ʻana i ka ikaika maʻemaʻe. Ke hoʻohana nei i kahi hale ʻohe hiki ke pala me nā papa hana uila lā aniani, hāʻawi ʻia ka hoʻokomo wikiwiki ma nā kumu nao kila. Ua hoʻolālā ʻia no ka nani a me ka paʻa mau, ʻae kāna mamanu hale pōkole i ka hoʻololi mālie i nā wahi kūlanakauhale like ʻole. Me ka māhele mua i manaʻo ʻia no ka hoʻokō ʻana ma Mālaiia, hōʻoia ʻo Sunopy e hoʻololi nui i nā ʻāina kūlanakauhale, e hāʻawi ana i kekahi hale hana ikaika laina hiki ke hoʻonui a mālama honua pū.

Ka Hoʻomaikai

E Pili Ana i ka A' Design Award Keleawe

Ua lanakila ka hoʻolālā Sunopy Pale Lā a me ka Ua no nā Ala Hele Wāwae i ka A' Design Award Keleawe, he ʻike hoʻohanohano nui loa i hāʻawi ʻia i nā hoʻolālā kūʻokoʻa i ʻike ʻia ma o ka hana noʻeau, ka akamai a me ka makakoho. He mau hana mākaukau a hana noʻeau kupaianaha nā lanakila Keleawe e hōʻoia ana i ka ʻike nui, ka noʻonoʻo a me ka maʻalea o kā lākou poʻe hoʻolālā. Manaʻo ʻia ʻo ka hoʻolālā Sunopy Pale Lā a me ka Ua no nā Ala Hele Wāwae he mea i mahalo nui ʻia, hoʻohiwahiwa ʻia a aloha ʻia, he ʻoihana a hou loa. ʻO kēia hoʻolālā i lanakila i ka A' Design Award Keleawe e hoʻohui ana i nā hana maikaʻi loa o ka hana noʻeau, ka ʻepekema, ka hoʻolālā a me ka ʻenehana, a maikaʻi no kona nānā ʻana i nā kikoʻī. Hoʻokō maikaʻi ka hoʻolālā Sunopy Pale Lā a me ka Ua no nā Ala Hele Wāwae i nā pono, hoʻopā i ka makemake, hoʻohiwahiwa i nā manaʻo a huki i ka makemake e ʻike.

Ma Hope o ka Hoʻolālā

Project objective: a highly aesthetic and eco-friendly photovoltaic canopy for city walkways that can be built quickly and inexpensively at any location using a few repeatable bamboo elements and one kind of a standard rectangular photovoltaic module.
Nā Ana a me ka Hoʻopili
Just one Kilometer of SUNOPY could provide around 2000 MWh of electricity and could power 750 households or provide electricity for more than 1.000 electric cars driving 11.000 Kilometers per year.

The construction has been parametrically developed to adapt to any common walkway and follow any route shape. The number of panel rows, distance between modules, and their inclination can be flexibly adjusted to local conditions.
The supporting structure comprises repetitive round bamboo arches, with non-reflective glass solar panels affixed to bamboo purlins. A fabric membrane offers extra protection and softly diffuses light.
Biodegradable and easily dismantled, the structure requires minimal resources and generates electricity emission-free. Installation is rapid on steel screw foundations, eliminating the need for concrete. The system is easy to assemble, modular, adaptable, and consists of only four repeatable components.
Noiʻi
This study project explores the potential of using sunshade structures in hot climate cities to generate electricity from integrated photovoltaic cells while providing protection from harsh weather conditions. The aim is to achieve synergy between weather protection and solar energy production. Through simulation and analysis, the research evaluates the feasibility and energy production potential of such integrated systems, offering insights into sustainable urban development and resilience enhancement.
Hoʻoulu Manaʻo
SUNOPY is a SUN harvesting CANOPY for hot climate cities, offering pedestrian protection from sun and rain. It's an urban linear power plant with a biodegradable structure of bamboo arches, purlins, and glass PV panels. Emitting no emissions, it installs rapidly on steel screw foundations. Modular and sustainable – it's a cityscape eye-catcher.
Ka Lōʻihi o ka Papahana
The project was developed in 2024, with the first experimental segment planned for implementation in the city of Putrajaya, Malaysia.
Kaʻina Hana
The system offers perfect synergy: the photovoltaic canopy, providing protection from the sun and rain for pedestrians, generates electricity at the same time.

ʻO ka A' Design Award he makana hoʻomaikaʻi honua, i hoʻoholo ʻia e nā luna, no ka hoʻolālā maikaʻi. E komo i ka A' Design Award e loaʻa ai ka manawa e ʻike ʻia ai kou hana ma ke ʻano kūpono, a e loaʻa ai ka kaulana, ka hanohano a me ka hoʻolaha no kāu hana. E koho inoa i kāu hana no ka A' Design Award a e hoʻokūkū no ka makana A' Design Prize i makemake nui ʻia.
