About Codice Kemasan Botol Anggur

Codice adalah desain kemasan untuk botol anggur yang terinspirasi oleh kodeks abad pertengahan. Kodeks merupakan buku-buku yang ditulis tangan sebelum mesin cetak ditemukan, di mana huruf-huruf kapitalnya menjelma menjadi karya seni. Labelnya diproduksi pada kertas dengan teknik relief dan pengecapan (stamping), lalu diterapkan pada botol Bordeaux. Selembar kertas nabati bersegel membungkus botol tersebut dan menampilkan ilustrasi simbol-simbol kilang anggur. Kertas ditutup dengan lilin segel di bagian atas, sehingga isinya baru terungkap ketika pembungkusnya dibuka.

Unique Properties: The Codex design is a timeless piece, which captures the meaning of the name loaded with content. The Codices were manuscripts in books prior to the invention of the printing press, in which the capitular letters became works of art in themselves.

Production Technology: Bordeaux bottle and label in reliefs and stamping. Sealed vegetal paper.
Design Challenge: A search of the ancient codex books to define the style and understand the hierarchies of the elements has been necessary to carry out the illustrations.

Inspiration: Working a classic universe in a cleaner and renewed way we get a timeless, dedicated piece, full of expressiveness and history. The graphics that are transferred to the paper tell the story of the symbols of the winery.
Project Duration: From June 2019 to January 2020
Operation Flow: A page that looks like it's ripped from an old code filled with symbols from the cellar, surrounds the bottle. The user must fix the paper to discover its content, since it is sealed with sealing wax on top.
