Inspired by the aerodynamic silhouette of the Razorbill seabird, the design translates the sensation of flight into clean, sculptural forms. Its strength lies in the innovative use of Fenix®—typically applied in interiors—reimagined here for outdoor use, achieving a refined balance between durability, tactile quality, and architectural elegance.

The pieces are fabricated using Fenix®, a high-performance nanotech material known for its ultra-matte surface, anti-fingerprint properties, and thermal self-healing capability. Digital modeling and precision CNC fabrication enabled the creation of continuous, refined geometries while ensuring durability and suitability for outdoor environments.
Mkpali: This project originates from a biomimetic approach, studying the Razorbill seabird’s aerodynamic body and efficient structure as a source of design intelligence. Its flight inspired a language of light yet stable forms. The research also explored the innovative use of Fenix®, whose self-healing and regenerative surface properties echo natural resilience, reinforcing the concept of furniture that learns from nature’s efficiency and durability.
